The weather is intentionally doing it!

Yesterday it was sunny during the morning so I was "excited" to do my laundry and dry them under the sun. After I finished my laundry and hanged them, not an hour had passed when it rained. It was okay for me that it rained because it was a little hot but to rain after I've done the laundry? Okay, so that's a coincidence. I fished my laundry and put them under the shade so that it won't get wet. After a while, the rain stopped. Still a coincidence? Okay fine, but I didn't took out my laundry again. .

my neighbor brought her pillows and mattress to have them subjected to the hot sun day treatment she thought is already most needed. oh, it was such a hot day. well, hours later, she had a good nap. guess what? as she was enjoying her nap, a strong rain passed by and stayed around for less than an hour. so when she went out to gather the pillows and the mattress later in the afternoon, the items were dripping wet! oh, well...

Hi jaiho! Sometimes I think the weather is intentionally raining during weekends when people do their laundry and then the weather would be sunny in the weekdays when people go to work. Rude awakening! That's a good one Barb! But yeah, soaking wet pillows are no joke! That was unlucky of your neighbor trinidad!

Dear friend, Here too in India, a state called Kerala especially during those rainy seasons at times the sun and rain at same time and this could change at a sudden too. May be smiling face and a crying face. But I feel if earth is treated well, nursed well without harming our mother earth's health, there I fee the climate too would be at our choice.

I think Barb is right. It would not be good if man can control the weather for his own benefit. Too much power can always be abused and lead to wrongdoings.

Yes, I too agree with that it is God's right. Here we do yagas (spiritual mantras and various mantras done qualified people) for rainfalls, after that yaga the rain too come. The scientific reason that highlighted here is that the smoke from the yaga with some chemical reactions is resulted in rainfall. Anyhow I feel there too God has to wish for that. Yes God is definitely the one...

Somehow, I believe God in his infinite wisdom, would not want to give man the control of the weather. I also think it's rather presumptious of man to think he can have much effect on changing it for good or bad. He sees such change and he makes his computer models and then takes credit or blame for all the data he collects.

Oh my. That sounds funny and annoying at the same time lol. I have strange weather problems here too. When we wash the car and it's all nice and sparkly, then it rains heavily the next time we drive the car. And when we don't wash the car and let it look dirty, the sun shines brightly the whole week .

I know what you mean. Then the heavy rain might help wash off some of the dirt too right? So you wouldn't need to wash your car so soon ;)

I experience that with my scooter! There was a time I washed my scooter Sunday afternoon. It was all sparkling clean! And come Monday, it rained all day and when I went home, my scooter was muddy again.

I have that problem here, too. What I prefer is rain right when my car needs washing -- a heavy rain. Then I can delay the washing.

oh, yes! the weather has been playing with us that way, too, in this country where we are residing. and i don't think it to be shocking at all. the weather has always been so very changeable for as long as i can remember. that is,if i will try to recall days way back to my youngest days yet. the lesson for us will always be to be prepared to cope with that most unpredictable weather each day of our lives. only, when flash floods take place, no way at all to be prepared for it. and when times come when the days get to be too hot to bear with, that will be another problem which is much too difficult to cope with.

Hi trinidad! We're both from the Philippines, right? I think that would be nice, too Barb! Like a little flag symbol beside our avatar or superimposed in our avatar.

In which country are you residing? I'm still trying to keep everyone straight as to country, and can't always remember where everyone is from without checking back on the profile. I think it would be helpful if myLot would post our country over our avatars in our posts so we wouldn't have to keep going back to look at profiles. Sometimes our country has nothing to do with our posts, but when we talk about weather, religion, politics, culture, it's useful to know the country because geography can be an important factor in forming one's perspective on many areas of discussion.

The weather now is indefinite. Sometimes the sun shines hot afterward its raining. Some other time, rain is pouring under the heat of the sun and this may cause sickness either. That's why I did not put my laundry outside.

Hi libramie! I agree! The sudden changes of weather really makes one sick. I get headaches sometimes when that happens. Oh Barb, even if that's the case, we don't see rainbows often!

Haha! That's so true! The weather can be pretty cruel and likes to toy with us. It ain't benefiting anyone unfortunately. It's such a pain doing the laundry. It's like really sunny and warm in the morning so all the laundry would be done and hung. Then once your out the door in your car driving away then half way, it begins to rain. So you speed all the way back home to take down the laundry then all of a sudden it's sunny again. I don't like it when the weather plays games with me.

Has that happened to you Triple? That's must have been really annoying. Hi Barb! Here in our town, only laundry services has dryers and people don't really go to laundry services just to wash and dry their clothes because it will be another expenses. They can do their own laundry and since there is no law prohibiting us to put up clothesline, we can put up such. Some washing machines used at home have dryers but the kind that don't really dry your clothes, only reduce the water in a great amount.

That's one reason why so many in the US used their dryers instead of a clothesline. In some places in the US it's even illegal to have a clothesline outside where your neighbors or those on the street can see it. But I Isuppose the main reason we use dryers is convenience. I have a clothesline here, but it's rarely used anymore, since I hardly even use my washing machine at home and take my laundry to my mom's house to do, since she has an indoor laundry room and I have to do it all outside, even in the worst weather, at home.

Yeap, the weather in my area seems unpredictable recently. When i saw sunny arise early in the morning guarantees me good weather but it suddenly rains in the lunch time. leaving my clothes wet because i was cooking, unable to get my clothes in, in time before it rains.

Most times we don't get the weather we desire. Sometimes we may want sunshine but it will rain. Some person, probably a farmer or gardener would be happy with the rain whilst we are sad about it raining. So I guess it is not all bad for everyone. What may be disappointment for us may be a blessing for someone else. And vice versa.

lol ;D It's the same thing over here as well, secret However we are much luckier because our way of doing laundry is much simpler compared to yours ^^ Actually i prefer such weather now, because it's in between sun and rain, which makes it windy, or cloudy at times.. haha. Other than that, i have no complaints because i'm riding on public transport.. hehe

Hi. secretbear. I am sorry about your laundry getting wet. The weather is very cloudy over here. We had rain on Saturday night. It seems like it only rains late at night and not in the day time like it used to do. Hopefully the rain will not interrupt your daily chores again or anything else for that matter.

I think it's convenient that the rain will only come at night. By that time, everyone is already at home and the clothes have been collected from the clothesline.

i believe those were just coincidence and that also happened to me a lot of times. there was even a time, the weather was bad for days. so i brought my jacket and my raincoat. as you know, i have a motorcycle and i ride on it everyday in going to work. so one day, the weather turned around one sunny morning. so i decided not to bring my rainy day outfit. and when i was about to enter the main road, rain falls back. and so i reached the office, like a wet chicken.

Indeed, it is very hard to predict the weather. We never knows when the weather going to change from sunny to raining. It had been many times in my life that i experienced this same kind of situation. Most of the time, whenever i saw the sky is dark or even slightly dark, i prefer not to hang out my laundry since i don't want to do double job. So, don't worry, Secret. you are not alone when comes to the sudden change in weather...

The weather does that, doesn't it? Today I was dressed warmly because we got up early to go compete in a sport (I won!) but when we came out, it was very hot. We had to give up the idea of eating our picnic lunch outdoors, and come home to eat instead. Then we were going to out to play golf in the late afternoon and here it is almost 5 pm and it is still too hot to be outdoors.

Hahaha! I'm sorry for laughing but you know it's because I experienced the same thing! When i woke up and decided to do laundry since the weather was good, when I finish and almost have to hang clothes outside, that's when the rain comes pouring. It's really irritating right. It happened every time I decided to wash! Oh! I do wish that if there's any technology or switch for changing weather then I think we'll not have problem at. It's up for us to decide what kind of weather we like each day. hahaha!

It's annoying alright! I think we can do that technology. But we'll have to have a big room, so big that we can put an artificial sky that we change from sunny to cloudy to rainy or whatever weather we like. It would be like a huge gymnasium!

I'm sure it's nothing personal. But I have found that if I really want it to rain I can hand-water the yard because the sprinklers aren't doing the job right, or I can wash my car. That almost guarantees rain.
