Strange noise!

I woke up in the middle of the night from a really strange noise downstairs. I have a good ear and this was something I've never heard, something weird and scary. It sounded like some small malicious cre?ture walking around looking for something, I'm serious. The only think I can compare the sound to is choking. But there's no one but me here. To make things worse, my leg is broken, so I couldn't really move fast, it even takes me about 10 minutes to get of my bed, so I just laid there listening to the strange noise from downstairs and it must have stopped, because I was able to go to sleep again. Strange things are happening lately!
