My New Eon Card Problems (OH NOES!)

Hello Lotters,
I shouldn't have been too excited but i couldn't help because this afternoon finally got the new eon card on a very hot noon
. luckily i stayed there long because it was air-conditioned.
Finally, got the card sign for affirmation. check it first and WAIT! I got Blocked
for only two tries on checking my account! so, teller told me to wait 24 hours.
When I got home,decided to link it with Paypal right away but this is all i got after attempting to do so.
This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.
I try not to panic by calling the Customers and told me that my Debit Card might have not been activated yet and wait for at least 24 hours..but I was told by other CSR before it was accidentally cut off that my account balance might have been empty.
So to those will renew their card and get it after a week, you have to wait 24hrs to have it activated. to be sure, call your bank after that time.

I have no EON card yet. My earnings are not that much. I don't have any idea to get one. If i got $10 dollars only on my paypal, can withdraw it thru EON card? Is it possible? That's too little money. I just want to have my card soonest.

Hello Tess, There are links that I am going to provide you base from Union bank websites and branches were you can apply for a Union Cyber Account. In the Philippines, the minimum withdrawal is ten dollars and any amount below that you can't withdraw you're earnings. if you don't have any cards link to your paypal i doubt mylot can send the earnings to your paypal if it's unverified.

If it's below 7k, there's a fee of 50Php, but if the withdrawal is more than 7k, then the withdrawal from paypal to bank is free.

Thank you for the information you shared in your discussion it is helpful to us specially those who have eon card and planning to apply for such card. My eon card will expired next year April and noted what you said after received from renewal... Again thanks a lot.

Hello visavis, just present your two valid ID's all the time. as for renewal, it's 150 pesos per replacement. you can actually replace that a month before the month of expiration. i would probably try to link the card by next week instead.

i couldn't believe it, why wait seven days when it can be processed within 24 hours. i guess the bank clerk have told you what to do next or he had not told you to wait at least 24 hours before checking? usually, it takes a day before an account is fully activated.

Hello Neildc, I was told to wait for a week to have it processed. but then i wasn't told upon getting it that i have to wait 24 hours since it hasn't activate it. then, a day later i called the bank and the guy responsible for activating the card didn't do it on that day. but that's fine now because i have linked it with paypal

have you complained to union bank about the card after being denied. i would not settle for a "change card" unless they say it is free.
but seriously, there has to be some other things that this problem can be corrected.

yes i agree Php150 for replacement.
but you have not even used it yet for deposits or withdrawal and it is not working already. so its not your fault. if they replace, it has to be on their expense.

Hello tiger-aunt, There is no free, it's says that there is a corresponding 150 pesos processing fee for that. I am not sure though if replacement is free if you loose or your card gets stolen but i know i have to pay 150 for processing.

hello Lanie, that would be 350 pesos or five dollars for the minimum deposit but there's no monthly deposit, probably just annual fee of 350.

I think it's 350Php balance but i don't have anything on my NEW CARD right now, except in my Paypal. and here's what i found out, the person in charge didn't activate the card yet until i have accidentally got to him when i called them now

Its the normal process, when you get your ATM card whether new or replacement, you have to wait for 24 hours before you use your card. Why its like that? because the branch where you get your card will report it to the cards department and the card department will double check the details before they activate it. Good thing you didn't try to withdraw because sometimes it takes time before they credit it back to your account. a simple reminder from a friend =)

Hello Rosie, Hmmmmm...thank you very much for this information and am also glad i called the customer service and they clarified it with me. unfortunately, this is a negligence part of the teller and she didn't notify me about it. she was like blaming me because i tried entering the TIN of my card thrice.

So we can use our eon card to open a paypal account? I already have an eon card. But I requested for a new one because I lost the paper containing the PIN. I just thought that I could get the PIN easily but I was wrong the bank has no PIN available so I have to request for a new one and paid Php150. I was suppose to claim the card last week but I was too lazy to go out and go to the bank to get it.

Hello Pahak, YOu can get after a week or two days after that one day. Nope, the bank doesn't have records of the pin because when it expires, so as the pin itself. yeah, you can link eon card with paypal.Eon is actually one easy debit card to llink with paypal but the process is better followed carefully. good luck

That happened to me once before, it was a lesson hard learned. Now, everytime I update my card information, I would wait it out until the second day before I use my EON card for any online transaction.

Hello goggles, Same here but i only use it recently for two things; one is getting my pay from different sites through paypal link to my card. two, same thing but for paying for my skype though, it's a good thing i have done and doing it now a days. thank you and have a nice day
