I will graduate from the college in the next 4 month. So it is the very time to find a job in the period. Now many student around me, talking about how to dress in a suitable way, where to buy some cheap suit and how to use the makeup in a correct way. I am a person do not care about the appearance, but to make sure I can get a job, I should do good in an interview. Does the clothes have a great effect on your interview? How can I act well in an interview?

Hi Dandan. Clothes have a big impact on your interview. See, everyone knows that the first impression in the best impression. When someone sees you the first time, they try to evaluate you from the style you are dressed, your walking style and the attitude on your face. Therefore, it is very important that you are dressed formally when you go for an interview. Plus, your formal suite (whatever it may be,) should be washed and ironed properly. Enter the interview room with a natural smile on your face. Sit down only when they ask you to. Rest your arms on the chair arms. Do not place your hands on the table in front of you. Talk in a very polite manner. There are many more things you should be aware of, but these are all i know. Wish you good luck .

This is so true. One may not realize it, but one is already being judge as soon as one enters the room for a job interview. Aside from how the applicant dresses, his or her overall impression forms part of the package of the first impression.

Your appearance in every way has a very large impact on the person interviewing you. You must be clean and dressed appropriately for the position applying for. I have questions of you that are unanswered, as it appears that you are interested in an English speaking position. Therefore, I am unsure what you will be applying for. If you feel that a suit is appropriate, then I would even go to the trouble of asking friends and relatives if they have something that you can borrow. Further you should be positive and assured without being arrogant. Allow the person interviewing you to ask questions first and answer pleasantly and completely. Finally ask intelligent questions about the position before you are finished with the interview. The person interviewing you will appreciate knowing that you are concerned that it is a good match for both of you. Hold your head high and smile! Good luck!

For me, clothes is not a big factor to get a job as long as you dressed appropriate and clean. The big factor will be on how you handle/ answer the interview.

Yes clothes has a big factor in our life especially if we are going to an interview because it adds to read our personality how we stand ourselves in front of people. How to deal with others depend on the occasion we face. Like for example at job interview if you cannot wear properly do you think they can recognize you as applicant and had an interest to entertain you? Of course no. ALways put yourself on good clothing in an interview and wear some make up that enhance your beauty. It will carry you to an smart and intelligent woman fitted to your job applied for.

yes definitely. your clothes dont need to be armani- but they should fit well and looks good on you. the rest depends on you. for glamourous jobs, wear a knee length skirt- it helps.

yes even though clothes should not have an effect in reality they do. even though it is not right it is a persons natural reaction to judge you based on how your dressed. if your dressed like a bum chances are people will treat you like a bum. if you dress like a tramp youll be treated like a tramp. if you dress professionally people will automatically think you know what your talking about. if you wear a business skirt make sure it is at least knee lenght. employeres do not want an employee that dress riska. make up is best when it looks natural. lots of glitter and sparkles or very dark gothic heavy make up is unfavorable. bosses want their employees to look like normal, every day approchable people.

I think they do! First impressions go a long way specially in job interviews. When hiring managers are sifting through a lot of resume, and interviewing a lot of people for just one job, how a person looks would be the first to be evaluated. I know it isn't fair, but it's just the way it is. I think.

Your appearance gives the first impression when you meet someone. Are you clean and are properly dressed you have a positive approach. I do not think you should spend a fortune on purchasing clothes. But clean whole clothes and a good hair style with a clean appearance would be appropriate.

Yes, defintely! But it's not just what you wear that matters; it's also about how you present yourself. In other words, your overall image and the way you carry yourself matter during an interview. These days, interviewers seem to be rather superficial; they judge you by the way you dress and the way you carry yourself rather than your abilities and your qualifications. I believe that what's important in an interview is to relax. The more relaxed you are, the more you will be able to respond to questions posed by the interviewer(s). Good luck to you!:)

Yes, it does a great effect on your interview because the interviewer will also judge you on your appearance. It is also good if you dress up for you interview because it allows you to feel good about yourself. Girls at www.lifo.com share their tips and views about beauty and fashion, I think they can help as well.
