Lately my son's math is concerning about the length. And tonight there is a homework about it. It required to write down something which is about 1cm at home. You will never guess what my son wrote down. He wrote down "cockroach". Hard to believe What will the teacher think about it? Oh, actually there are not more cockroaches at my home, probably just a very few of them

yes, the teacher would think that there are lots of cockroaches in your house.
i just recently posted a discussion about my son, about his homework.
it was about pictures of the family members.
and a long the way, a picture of a clown popped-out.
he said, that he was the clown of the family.
that amazed us in the house.

Hello Youless What a bright, smart kid :) i am sure the teacher was surprised with the answer too :) i teach elocution classes for kids who are in the ages between 6 to 14 and some of them come up with such smart answers it is hard to keep up! but yes cockroach is quite innovative .... once i asked the kids in class to write down about their favorite food and everyone came up with their answers but one kid did not write anything so when i asked him why?....you won't believe the answer he gave us - 'i am on a diet'!! since its not a regular class - me and the other teacher who handles the class with me laughed so much we had tears in our eyes :)

I have remember one of my composition in my element school.
The composition begin with the sentence"It is a bright day today, with no clouds in the sky." and end up with the sentence"the clouds in the sky may want to tell me that they are really happy today." At that time, my teacher took my composition as an example for other pupils in the school. While I am curious how the teacher judge what kind of composition is a good composition.

Youless, that's really very interesting and funny. Recently, i asked my son to write the word "apple" in his picture book. But, he not sure how to spell that word correctly, so he draw a heart shape to replace the word "apple". He explained that apple looks like heart shape. That's why he draws heart shape, as he not sure the spelling...

Oh my is that cute and funny. Very bright boy there as he was smart to know that the cockroach is about that size. lol
I remember my daughter was given an assignment about in first grade about fun places she and her family go. I use to take my kids just about to everything as I tried to spend a great deal of quality time with them. She wrote on the assignment that she wanted to go to Walt Disney again and her mommy would not take her. She gave all the reasons why she and Mickey Mouse had such a wonderful time and that she promised we return real soon. She did not mention that it was just a few months prior that we had gone, so the teacher made a real fuss in assuring that one day she would go soon. Then the teacher wrote me a note saying this was affecting her. Hmmm, well I spoke to the teacher and explained that it was only a few month prior that we went.
Looking back it is so cute, funny how she thought explaining to the teacher would get us to return soon and on how they express themselves.

That is the very part of the children that can make us laugh. Children can always make something funny that is out of our imagination. I love children for their being so interesting and cute. They are the source of happiness to us. Enjoy parenting, youless.

I remember when I was on elementary, my teacher ask us to draw our pet for homework, but I didn't really understand that it's drawing, I thought she said to bring a pet, so the next day I brought our cat with me, hahaha yeah I know! just imagine what happens next at school, it's really embarrassing.:D
