I watch a lot of horror movies. I dont really get scared but is it just me or do you get some kind of rush from being scared? Whats the scariest movie you have seen? I remember when I was younger being scared twice. "It" scared me to death. Now when I watch "It" it doesnt bother me at all (of course I was about 10 the first time I saw it) The second time was the first time I had ever watched "Nightmare On Elm Street" when my older cousin told me, right as it was going off, that Freddy was gonna come get me. I had a hard time sleeping that night. Lol. They just dont make them like they used to.

I haven't really watched many horror movies but I have watched quite a few thrillers. The one horror movie I remember scared me was "Jeepers Creepers". I watched it on the bus going back to my hometown at night and it really scared me. I was a lot younger then. When I reached my house, I'd jump at any little movement I'd see from the corner of my eye. xD

I watched the first one. The funny part is, although I remember watching it and I remember feeling scared, I can't remember at all now what happened in the movie that scared me so much lol

Thrillers are pretty good too. Did yo watch the first or second Jeepers Creepers? The 2nd one occurred on a school bus and watching it on a bus would probably scare me more than watching it a home lol.

Hi mrsbentley! I have never watched It but I did watch the newer version of Nightmare on Elm Street. It wasn't scary at all! I'm not sure about the original movie though. It was probably scary during its time. I just recently watched Insidious upon recommendation of my co-worker and a myLotter and it was really good. There were many creepy scenes although the scenes with the geeks were funny and kinda broken the creepy mood which I thought was not good. Still, it was creepy enough. The background music at the start was already creepy for me and the monster head shown at the start was a little scary. There was a scene where I couldn't help but scream (but that's because I was surprised! ) and there was this scene where I had to cover my eyes because I thought something would happen.

I have a friend who also thought Insidious was not creepy at all and even funny. Well, overall, I have to agree. And the ending was a bit predictable. But I just liked that they tried to make it scary by NOT using much background music. The scene where I screamed, it was the time Josh, Reina and Josh's mother were in the dining table talking. The camera pans to Josh and there was the red-faced monster beside Josh and I was really surprised so I screamed. Well, not really scream scream. It wasn't heard downstairs but after I screamed I was laughing at myseld. And then the scene where Josh was in the Farther, in the living room where there were a husband and wife and someone ironing the clothes and Josh was holding up the light to the face of the ironing woman, I just thought that the woman's face was so creepy and I was expecting something to happen and I couldn't help but cover my eyes. But nothing happened!!! I was tricked by that. lol

I didnt like the newer Nightmare on Elm Street. Robert England made such a better Freddy. The older Nightmare on Elm Street movies were way better but then again Im a Wes Craven fan. I as really surprised to see that so many people were scared of Insidious. I watched it one late night and by myself and didnt even get goosebumps. If a movie is scary for me or sad etc. I get goosebumps. lol

i also afraid on the dolls when i was a kid because of chucky. When my mom put me to bed i always look at my favorite doll's eye if it will wink its eye on me.. The design of my doll is like an old fashion that's why i think it also look more scary than my other doll and it also have the same design of chucky's round eye.

If you're in the mood for it, try North By Northwest or some of the other Cary Grant films as some can be scary. Yes I know they are old but like you said, they don't make them as they used to and when nothing else is on...classic! Where? Try the library. :-)

Horror movies are my favorite genre of movies. I love watching them at night and by myself instead of watching them with a group of people. Makes them seem scarier lol.

I agree..even horror movie make me scared, watching horror movie is still my favorite hobby. I love the feeling of being scared. But sometimes when i feel so scared, i keep putting on my mind that the directors just add some effect so it will look real in the movie but when i'm alone i can't stop on being scared. My imagination about ghost is so active when i am alone..

I really liked Freddy and Jason movies and I was absolutely thrilled that they had a movie together. I have a good imagination and it goes haywire after watching a horror movie. I would also like to suggest insidious as a good horror flick. It's all in the head I guess but it would be a thriller if we get to watch it with friends.

Freddy and Jason, you serious? :) I like horror movies that have actual ghost/demon stories, not the twisted serial killer types. THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE (2005) is by far the scariest movie I have seen. It starred that girl from DEXTER.

Freddy and Jason isnt scary but its still good horror. The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, imo, wasnt scary either lol. I enjoy most horror movies but none are really scary, scary anymore.

Today I watched a horror movie called An American Haunting. It was not as scary as I expected, however, it is based on the truth and this is why I am interested in watching it. Actually not many horror movies will frighten me. As I know it is not true. I do not believe the ghosts or something like that. I ever watched a horror movie called Hostel and I must say that this movie is so sick and horrible. As it can be true since some sick people can find the pleasure when they torture others. This is why I will not want to watch Hostel 2 since I can't stand it. I love China

"Based on true story" anything is good. I liked An American Haunting. The story of the Bell Witch, I believe in ghosts as my mom grew up in a haunted house. The house looks haunted just looking at it from the outside. I havent seen Hostel 2 yet and I vaguely remember the first one.

Hi there, I like to watch horror movies too, but with friends lol. This movies Insidious, i haven't seen but they say it's quite scary, I think you should try that movie out. I don't like those annoying grudge kinda faces, they are creepy. Exorcism of Emily rose was on nice realistic type movie, so unlike the original exorcism which was quite unrealistic. When i was small i was scared of movies like predator and alien, used to make me think what if they actually existed and would be crawling under my bed.

I grew up with Hammer horror movies. To me they were better than comedies - I certainly had more laughs! I'm looking forward to new Hammer re-makes that are promised. Although they may kill the actor's / actress's careers!

I grew up on Hammer. Lee, Cushing and Vincent! The last thing I seen was the vampire one Beyond the Rave not impressed to be honest but I have still to watch Wake Wood and The Resident. I do not think they will get the magic back but in saying that, I would like to be wrong

I don't like horror movies. I'm really scared when watching a horror flick specially the Asian ones. The scariest I guess is Bangkok Haunted and Shutter. These two are the scariest because I watch it in theater with my friends and it is really dark. Even the famous film The Ring, I didn't watch it because I'm scared.

I love horror movies! Though, I reckon the horror movies now aren't as good as the ones years before. Like paranormal activity isn't that interesting, I personally found it kind of boring and it made me dizzy because of the camera moving everywhere. I remember watching Hills Have Eyes when I was like 12 and that really freaked me out. It's actually one of my favorites and I sometimes bring it over to friends to watch and watch them scream while I laugh at them. =) Having a horror movie night with friends is fun!

I agree..i also feel really scared after watching that movie. I can't move or go in every corner of our house without with someone else except in comport room and shower. I act quickly when im in that part of our house because im so scared. But that fear is only in just 2 weeks. I never try to watch the part 2. I only watch the part 1..

I love horror movies, but I don't watch them very often. I always wanted to watch IT throughout my childhood, but I was always kept from doing it by my sisters. They all were deadly scared of it, they had a trauma about that movie, that every time I tried to do so they covered my ayes or something to keep me from doing it. So, when I grew up, and I was about 14 years I bought both, the movie and the book, and I became a fan of it, I used to watch it very often, and despite of my age I read the 1600 pages novel at least a couple of times. I never got scared from it, it looked really old-fashioned as to be frightening at all. It's a cult movie I always remember as a sign of my teen years :)

Yes,i have watched some horror movies, including science fictions like Alien, movies about ghosts and vampires, or some movies about killers. Actually, some of them are ok for me, because i may fear when i am watching it, but after it, everything is ok. But for some others, i will scare for many days, especially at nights. Most of these movies are about ghosts, you know, i feel japanese ghost movies are more scary, especially the music and the atmosphere.

I like a few of the Japanese ghost stories. I love most horror movies. There are a few that were just so bad I wouldnt watch again but if I really liked the movie Id watch it more than once.

In those days, I watched all kinds of movies, going to the movie theatres atleast three times a week. Horror movies were my favorites. One that I felt really scary was "Dracula". Oh, I just could not sleep well that night. I even decided that I will never see that movie again. In fact, I have not till now. Not because I still feel sacred, but just that I have not come across that.

Okay, this is the way I am. I love to watch horror movies myself. I don't get scared, but I am amazed at the gor of what they do now in the horror movies. It's like they learn to do worse and worse things in the new movies. Now I love to watch Bones, Criminal Minds, Cold Case Files, Forensic Files and all that, but when I watch them or the true stories on I.D. channel or 48 hours and shows like that it bothers me to see the awful things that really happen to people. The Horror movies don't bother me. I guess cause I know it's fake, but the true stories get me upset.

I have watched those shows on I.D. Those shows actually freak me out way more than any horror movie. I try to avoid those shows yet I cant stop watching. There are horrible things on those shows.

I absolutely love the adrinelien rush I get from watching horror movies. I scare easily but it is very hard to find an actual realistic scary movie. Since I was a little girl I have always loved Jeepers Creepers (the first one more than the second) The Hills Have Eyes is also another very scary movie but very gorey. The last horror movie I watched was The Strangers. One thing that made it so scary is that it was based on a true story and the killers were never caught.
