I guess, not all of us likes to eat goat meat, or has tasted goat meat. Some say it has a different taste. Me, being half Ilocano, half Bicolano, i like eating dishes made out of goat meat. I like the Kilawin most, specially when it’s tender. I like the taste of the grilled and chopped meat, soaked in vinegar , onions and other seasonings. I like it also as calderetta . Yummy! Luckily, its meat is not with cholesterol, because it feeds on grass only and is not fatty. So, it’s healthy! Yehey!

I've eaten goat's meat before but only on several occasions. It tasted good and savory, The dish I've eaten was "calderetang kambing"(spicy stewed goat's meat)

Calderettang kambing and spicy at that! I love that! At least, wheng it's not laden with cholesterol, unlike my topic "bulalo" .

I told you, i love foods! Whenever i notice my middle becoming bigger, i would exercise like crazy for a week, everyday after office hours in front of our TV in the bedroom. Good thing, husband arrives from work a little later.

Though my mother hated goat's meat, my dad and i loved it. Sometimes my brother would buy two kilos of goat meat and asked our cook to prepare a very delicious meal. I really love kaldereta and our cook can really prepare it without any goat smell at all.

Yes, Toni, calderettang kambing is so good too. But have you tasted kinilaw na kambing? That one is very delicious too. Yummy! It's understandable that other people don't like it, because it really has a smell, but proper cooking could camouflage it.

I have never eaten goat. Frankly I don't know where I could even get it. The grocery stores here sell seafood, chicken, beef, and pork mainly.

I think in your country, they don't sell goat meat, that's why. But would you dare eat goat meat if you are given the chance?

Hi, SIMPLYD. I have never eaten goat meat before. I think that I can't be told what type of meat that I am eating, if I eat this meat. If I am told, I will get sick to my stomach and I will not be able to swallow this goat meat down my throat. I am impressed that goat meat does not carry any cholesterol. Now, this is a positive thing to hear of for a change.

Yes, that' what they say, because it just simply feed on grass. But it makes me wonder, why does the cows feed on grass also, yet they are laden with cholesterol? I think you should try eating goat meat in tomato sauce first, so you can appreciate it. It's delicious, i bet you.

some people really don't like eating goat meat because of its odor. but i guess it's with how they cook it. i am not a cook so i cannot also tell you how it should be cooked properly. but i love goat meat, caldereta.

Yes, calderetang kambing is also delicious. Though it has many ingredients which could make it costly actually. You can never detect the odor with this recipe.

Oh, i haven't tried goat meat in kare-kare. It's usually oxtail in kare-kare that i have tasted. But i guess, goat meat would also be delicious in kare-kare.

I am not use to eating goat meat. And aside from that I also don't like the taste and the smell. But my husband and in-laws love it especially the caldereta, wherein they put a lot of onions, liver spread and other spices. Chow!

It's really amazing how people differ in their taste. A food that is delicious to others would not be to others. For us, who likes goat meat, it doesn't smell and it's delicious. So, have you tasted their calderetta? At least, the tomato sauce and liver spread could camouflage the smell and the taste to people who has a different taste to it, like you.

So you have tried eating goat meat, that's why you know you are allergic to it, or was it simply to say, you don't like goat meat?
