I like to watch the older cartoons from the early 20th century and also old silent movies. I think silent movies are an art form unto themselves. Today I watched the 1916 version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. How about you? Do you enjoy silent movies?

There is a 1916 version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea? Wow, I didn't even know that, and I consider myself a HUGE movie buff. I love silent movies, although it's such a pity that so many of those were lost. The amount of silent filmes we have available now is nowhere near the amount that was actually produced during that era. But anyway, my favorites are anything from Chaplin, and Harold Lloyd. I think I like Harold Lloyd a bit more than Chaplin or Keaton. At least in certain aspects, he was a better actor. I also like some of DW Griffith's work and then there's also the classic The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
