Do you have bad sleeping patterns that affect your daily life?

I do. My bad sleeping patterns affect my life in a bad, unhealthy way. I also have health problems like very bad overactive bladder that makes for very interrupted sleep. I try to fix my sleeping hours to no avail. I am very depressed and unhappy because I don't like the city I moved to about 10 months ago. But also because of my sleep and health problems. For example earlier I was so tired that I had to go to sleep about 11pm. But then I awoke a little after 3am. I been online since about 3:30 maybe; I'm starting to get sleepy again. If I go out in the daytime morning or afternoon and I walk let's say 2 or 3 miles. As soon as I get home I'm so fatigued I can't stay awake, I can't do anything; I must go to sleep. It will take me 1 hour or more just to get to sleep since I have to hop up several times every few minutes (10 or more in a row) to go to the bathroom. Then I'll get to sleep. I wake frequently when I do sleep but I can usually go right back to sleep. If I'm lucky in the daytime I'll be up maybe 4 or 5 daylight hours. The city bus quits very early in this city I live in so I end up walking allot. If I go out and walk maybe 1, 2 or 3 miles total when I get back home I'm very fatigued and can't stay awake. I've not been able to plan going to the doctor for like 3 months maybe because of my health and sleep problems. I can't go look for a job, I can't make plans of any kind, I can't make it to church at any kind of time schedule; I can't seem to do much of anything or get much of anything done. More then anything I hate this small town I've lived in for like 10 months. I'm starting to hate my life in general or my "no life". The only think I get to do daily is I'll go out someplace with my son and we usually end up having to walk. Then I'll walk to the store - thank goodness it's not to far of a walk. And online a little while and sometimes I watch a movie with my son and that's my life.

Yeah I can relate. But I bet your room-mate doesn't go to bed the same time as you do; correct? Does he use headphones when he plays his computer games? I have to get up to go to the bathroom often during the night. But this is how I been sleeping. I sleep like a cat; I sleep a few hours get up a few hours and sleep a few hours. I notice if if I take a walk when I get home I have to go straight to sleep; I can't keep myself awake. And it take me quite some time just to get to sleep then even since I have a very bad overactive bladder problem.

I have sleeping problems too and it annoys me! I'm a very light sleeper so one little noise will wake me up. When I try to fall asleep, it takes like an hour before I sleep and what annoys me most is when I'm sleeping for maybe an hour and then something wakes me up! Then I would have to put up with another hour before I can sleep again. I try to sleep around 8 hours a day but I still have bags under my eyes. My Mum complains why I'm not getting enough sleep. I always tell her it's her snoring but she goes when have I snored?! Too bad snorers can't hear themselves snore. =)

I hear ya. Do you have to get up to go to a job? I don't know what I would do if I had to get up for work; I would never make it. It's 10:25am and I started to get tired before 7am. I think it was a little after 3am I woke up after sleeping only a few hours. If only I could have slept longer. So after 7am I took a shower and I walked to Krystal, then I walked to the grocery store and then back home. I turned on the TV and watched the rest of Dr Phil. Then I tried to call this doctor's office about 5 times and could not get through to make an appointment; the operator was not available (so the recording said). And I think I'm getting one of those urinary track infections. Now it's 10:30am and I can't keep myself awake much longer. I wish I could get at least a PT job; I need more money. I wanted to try to call some apartments but I'm to tired. I'm getting very sleepy. I feel very badly for people who have sleep problems and have to get up and go to work. Back to you; do you drink very much caffeine? Caffeine can keep a person awake. And you mention noises. Yeah, I'm like that to; the least little sound or noise wakes me up? Do you get scared at bedtime? I do.
