Last December, my boyfriend gave me a white Labrador puppy as a gift. He usually buy accessories and stuffed toys or anything that is related to dogs. However he gave me a puppy on my 25th birthday and I'm so happy about that. That is the best material gift that I received. Though a dog is not a material thing but actually a living thing. Aside from friendship, time, love etc. What is the best gift that you received?

It is actually a great gift. A gift of life. Your boyfriend found the dog a great owner and you got a great dog so technically you both got a nice present.

I think that was really sweet if him. He knows your love for dogs and I am sure he probably could not think of anything else to get you with dogs on it so he skipped it all and went for the real thing, I think that was very thoughtful!

He used to give me material things related to dogs. Dog slipper, dog stuffed toys or anything that has dog. So I was really surprised when he bought a puppy. The puppy is so adorable.

The best gift you can get is Lord Jesus Christ, as Pual apostelt put it like this, thanks for the unspeakable gift. you must thank your bf for the living gift.

If you spend time with someone, that is also the a way of showing your love. Love is indeed the best gift you can give with someone. Spending a day or bonding together sounds really great to me.

That's very nice my friend. Your boyfriend is really thoughtful. Maybe he gets tired of material things so he chooses a dog but not just a dog, a Labrador. I too loves dog, in fact I have two. The most treasured gift I received from my wife was a bracelet with my name on it. She gave it when were still dating and I still have it on me.

Oh that was so sweet, I also want a dog to be as a gift but my mother do not allow me to have another dog. I guess the best gift so far was the big bunny like stuff toy. It was my bf's Christmas present to me, not last year. He surprise me on that.

When I was a child my aunt gave me a gift for Christmas. It was a little yellow wooden motorboat. It had a red light and worked with a battery. I enjoyed a lot putting it on the water and watching how it sailed.

so far, i can say that the best gift i have ever received in my entire life is a full support of hospitalization and surgical operation for my son. my son had sleep apnea which caused by large tonsils he had for 3 years. everytime he sleeps, we could not sleep well because his breathing stops during his sleeps. the medical doctors found out that his tonsils were big, they thought they were just enlarged. but with medications, it never shrunk. so the throat specialist recommended the surgery. we have no money to pay for the surgery. so i wrote a lot about his condition and our problem. i begged for money on the internet. but the money we received never reached the total amount we need. until, suddenly, one person contacted me and told me that a new tv program are looking for people who needs medical attention. the story went through with the medication, hospitalization and surgery. including plane fares and appearance in their show. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2458822.aspx

I have been fortunate enough to receive many lovely gifts from loved ones but the best one would have to be a giant portrait of me that my daughter painted when she was four years old. I absolutely love it, she used the most beautiful colours and added details like a four year old would and even attempted to write her name at the bottom. My husband had it framed and he and my daughter gave it to me for Mother’s Day that year. It is still on my wall six years later, I still love it and that is where it will stay!

As far as a material gift that I've been given that is the best gift that I've ever received, I would say that it is the point and shoot camera that I got for my birthday this year. The reason that it is such a great gift is that having it means that I can just take out a camera and take pictures anytime that I want to. Prior to getting that camera, I had and still have a DSLR camera that is great, but it is too bulky to carry everywhere with me.

mine is actually not a birthday gift but a sorry gift for forgetting to greet my on my birthday... he gave me BlackBerry phone... more than that he gave it to me personally by flying all the way from his place to my place which is miles away... he could have sent it through a courier but he preferred to hand it over personally... he contacted my friends so that his arrival would really surprise me... of course i left with no choice but to forgive him... :)

About two years ago I was in native country having physio. My partner was in England. I was sad because I wanted to spend our anniversary with him. I think he was sad also. We phoned each other often but it was not the same. I remember early morning in the day of our anniversary I was hearing door bell. You know some women don't look pretty in the morning. I'm one of them. I opened the door and I saw man with huge bouquet of flowers. I signed the order and I have read the massage written on the small card " You are the love of my life. I miss you so much. Come back to me quickly. Happy anniversary". That was the best present ever.

Honestly, to be exact I'm not a material girl. I have lots of friends that gives me present. Even my boyfriend does it occasionally. But for me the best gift that I have received is my "LIFE". I can't experience all the happiness, all the things that I have, and I won't be on Mylot now, if I don't exist in this world. Thanks God for everything. Happy Mylotting.

Friends are one of the best gifts. They can't be compared to any material thing. They are gifts from God. I'm so thankful I have nice friends who are real.

Hi chiwasaki! Since I just replied to your "song that reminds you of your ex" discussion, I remember the best ever gift I have received from him. He wrote me two poems which does not only tell about his feelings for me but my impact to his life as well. He was considered the black sheep in their family and they couldn't understand him, but when I came to his life, I became his "light", an outlet to express his feelings, I was the "one" for him. I felt like an important person in the whole wide world that time. Until now, I have the poems stored safely in my room. It's just unfortunate that we we're not meant for each other.

My parent gave it to me and it is so sleek I love it. But sad it isn't in a good condition now coz I am lazy haha it is kinda dirty and i don't really know how to clean it ahhah!

3 years ago my parents got me 2 maltese puppies for Christmas. i love them so much. then last december for myself for Christmas i got a black african emperor scorpion. i also love her very much. i think animals make wonderful gifts. but you have to be sure the person your giving the animals to really wants it. other wise the animals end up abandoned and unwanted.
