diff. of cell phone to mobile phone?

Guys, pls, what is your different between cell phone and mobile phone? THIS WILL DEFINITELY HELP THOSE WHO DONT KNOW.

There is no difference. They are the same thing. They are generally called 'cell phones' in the US and 'mobile phones' in the UK and other countries.

They are both the same thing... Remember when pager was popular back in the 80's? Well, they were called "beepers" because they beeped... Term cell phone, short for cellular phone, is called that because it uses cell sites to relay the signal between your phone to the phone system... Term mobile implies you can move around without being tied down to a spot with cords... Interestingly enough, when cordless phone system for the home use started to come out, they were called "mobile phones" because you could walk around the whole house with it...

I agree with Owlwings. Cellphone is just what Americans call Mobile Phones.

No difference.but I think mobile phone had some more options than a cell phone.
