Overclocking your graphic card is a bad idea if you don`t know too many things about this .The video card is one of the components that need a good cooling system, many of them will be warmer than 90 C in full 3D .There is a program called Everest, you can download that one and start a 3D game windowed and take a look how hot your video card is .Overclocking means pushing the limits and if you don`t know what you are doing this means a broken video card in many cases.

You`re welcome dev. That doesn`t mean it can`t be done there are programs for both major video card builders Nvidia and ATI , and you can raise the GPU frequency or the memory frequency. But if you don`t have a good cooling system that may broke your video card.

Overclocking nowadays may not be that dangerous with proper knowledge on it. The temperature problem now may be resolved by these powerful fans that are designed for overclocking peripherals on a computer.
But do not overclock any peripherals without knowledge of it since it may cause bigger problem and may damage your motherboard and other peripherals of your computer. =)
