I'm one of martial arts enthusiasts though I'm not very much good at it. My fondness in this kind of thing started during my childhood days. The late Bruce Lee was my favorite martial artist of all time. When I was young my father used to watch Bruce Lee's movies at home most of the time. And that's how I got to know him. Even though I was just a kid at that time but I already found myself having fun watching his stunts in his movies. I like his kung-fu style and he moves with softness and agility. Even if he is already dead, I know his memories live forever in those who knew him. What about you? Who is your favorite martial artist? Can you share it too?

Bruce Lee, is of course, THE martial arts master. Besides being one of the people who truly revolutionized martial arts, he was way ahead of his time (just check out the first fight in Enter the Dragon) and is my all-time favorite. I mean, he had everything - speed, power, flexibility and the MIND of a true warrior. AND he was a good actor.
I see this discussion and notice that some people think that all the amazing stunts they see in movies prove how great a certain martial artist is. But there's two sides to this - those people are either entertainers or fighters and very rarely can you see both of these qualities in one person. Jackie Chan is one man I truly admire, because he does all his stunts himself and if you've seen some of his earlier movies (yes, earlier), you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. He's quite obviously strong, fast, but he can also entertain.
Then there's the more serious "side" of martial arts, the fighting. I don't know if I can call it a "side" of martial arts, because that's what martial arts are generally all about - becoming physically/mentally strong and being able to fight back. People who have devoted their lives to martial arts deserve respect, in my opinion. My favorites would be Bas Rutten & Fedor Emelianenko. I admire Bas for (besides his martial arts abilities) his sense of humor and ability to explain each technique (you know how there are people who are very good at something, but just can't teach it; well, Bas is an exception). Fedor is awesome, because he is truly dedicated to what he does and it just goes to show what you can achieve if you work really hard.
And lastly, because I practise goju-ryu karate myself, I have to pay my respects to Chojun Miyagi, who managed to create his own style of karate. Now that's awesome.

My favorite is anderson silva 'the spider' a brazilian mixed martial artist. Jackie chan, jet lee, bruce lee, etc. are no martial artists they are actors. I think that's the fact. Lyoto machida is a good martial artist too.

I love watching Martial-art movies, mainly Ninja, but without too much blood.
To me this spoils the art of Martial-arts and the enjoyment of watching the fast-moves and kicks.
Below is my list of names:
1. Bruce Lee {Why? He is the Father of Martial-art movies}.
2. Jackie Chan {Why? A mix of Comedy with Martial-arts. Additional 5 stars for doing his own stunts}.
3. Steven Seagal {Why? Great Charisma. A great example of someone in peace with his soul}.
4. Mr. Meogi {Why? Age does not matter ;)}.

Since kid till now I love martial art movies, specially Kungfu (Chinese martial art). Talking about about martial artist, I only like two person: Jacky Chan and Jet Li. Don't you know when Jacky Chan made a movie: 1) he never like use stunt artist, 2) on fighting, he always use any kind material as a weapon

On top of my list is none other than Bruce Lee. He has excellent moves that is being imitated by others. Characters of famous arcade fighting games got created on his likeness. Martial Law of Tekken and Fei Long of Street Fighter. Aside from Bruce Lee, here are my favorite martial arts fighters: Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and the old school Chuck Norris. I am impressed by their dedication and discipline in martial arts.

I also love to watch martial arts especially Kung Fu. My favorite marital artist is Jackie Chan. I love his film and he done most of film by doing real action. I was astonished when jump from 22 storey building in WHO AM I. I like the of moving his body in easy and flexible. His films almost have good story along with good martial arts. In his most of the films he is the stunt director.

I like Bruce Lee as well. I used to watch all of his movies and I was always amazed with his skillfulness. His acting abilities were pretty good too. My family'd watch all of his movies and sometime later on, I'd watch one or two of them on my own. He was famous and still is. My other favourite martial artists would be Jet Li and Jean Claude Van Damme. Both of them are very good in martial arts as well.
