Wow! That can be a huge one, right? I got this mail 2 days ago and was surprised, but not totally surprised at all. The truth is, I considered it as a spam mail and a scam.
Reading some mails with this type of subject is not new to me. Some would say my email address won, that I won a lottery, that I am the beneficiary of a deceased or that someone wants me to be a partner in my country. Who would certainly believe those are true and not scam?
Ok! Focusing on winning on Liberty Reserve, I don't really believe it was true. It is very obvious. One, I have an account of Liberty Reserve, but it was canceled. That was still last year. It was canceled due to a certain requirement which I was not able to comply. Two, the mail was sent to a wrong email address. That means, they sent it to my email address which I did not use for opening a Liberty Reserve. That is quite suspicious, right?
What about you? Did you win a $500 on your Liberty Reserve account? Or have you received a similar mail? Share yours.

I didn't win $500 at Liberty Reserve but I won 1 billion dollars in some South Africa bank account. I remember how shocked I was when I read that email! Then I calmed down and I realized it was only a spam mail, asking me to send my personal details. I wonder how many people fall into those traps and send their personal data to those scammers?

Yeah, it is considered a spam email. Have you received the same mail which it came from LR? That was actually my question. Since then, I already receive almost every week from LR. The thing is that, LR is an e-payment processor and it can affect its reputation if spam and scam messages age spreading using LR's name.

Hi, maean_19. I have never received an email at all with Liberty Reserve. Well, if I would have, I would just delete this email very fast! None of these emails are true at all. I have gotten many emails about me having an Liberty account that has been suspended. I am like, what? I don't even have an current account with them at all. I will just delete this email without even thinking twice about responding to it. These hackers really are naive into thinking that I will believe anything that they just say. Well, they better think again!

Recently I keep having emails about Liberty Reserve and as far as I know, I do not even have any Liberty Reserve accounts or whatsoever and I don't even know what it is! But I only know one thing and that is, these emails are scams . I've avoided them at all costs.

If I will collect all my "so called winnings" from lottery, United Nations Fund, etc. I guess I'm closing to be a billionaire now. lol. Not to mention that sometimes I'm considered a next of kin or a close relative of a deceased billionaire whom I don't even know.
I have several email addresses and I receive spam winning notifications almost everyday. In all honesty it's so annoying to see these messages.

I also have the same experience. Many letters came to my gmail account to take a reward. For one, I replied. But I think now that the mail is generated automatically to fool people or some persons who create "virus"in some programmes and find joy.In India and in kannada language we call it as"vignasanthoshigalu"
My mobile is also receiving such messages.

That's a big LOL that you've won without participating any contest. Obviously it's a scam so don't fall to that trick besides they put phising link to keylog your paypal and alertpay accounts so whenever I encounter those mails, I don't hesitate to delete them without reading.

I got this same email and considered it a scam. I opened a Liberty Reserve account at least ten years ago and haven't even used it.

I haven't received any of those type of prizes from LR but for me. Everything that would tell me that I won from the internet is totally a scam especially when I don't even join any of these kinds of raffle or whatsoever. Be aware that there are people who uses fake emails to scam people, e.g libertyreserve@xxxx.com, account@libertyxxxx.tk or whatsoever. I found these email addresses very more suspicious. If you think you are not sure if the email is a valid sender or not try to contact the website itself. Their support should be willing to answers all of your questions.

I ever received a few emails claimed that i had won a few prizes from many big organizations from around the world. I ever received emails claimed that they had decided to named me as their beneficiaries. Isn't it sounds weird that i don't know them but they entrusted me as beneficiaries to their large sum of money. What i usually do is, deleted them straight away from my email box. We should never trust this kind of emails. Never to disclosed any of our personal information to any of those emails...

I just ignored e-mails like that. Even thru text messages there are lots of messages similar to what we are discussing right now. My friend responded a message about this scam. She called the number that was given and she was asked on the details of her bank account but she did not give it. In the meanwhile her brother went to the office address that was given and he saw that the address was a residence not an office.
