People who seem to know say that families have souls that travel together. How do you feel about that, have you found that you have an attachment to a family member
who has been long dead? I have a aGGGGrandfather who has a great influence on my life, I am a genealogist and he is the family member that is the oldest one I can find. But the more I find out about his life the more I feel I know him as a living breathing person. Could this be a soul connection?

Hi savypat, I have also heard that souls often reincarnate together as family and friends. It is possible that although you have never met that particular person, because of the time difference, you may have met the same soul. The soul that was your ancestor may now be a member of your immediate circle, or you may be that soul yourself. It makes sense that families have souls that travel together, as there is always karma carried forward from one life to another. I have sometimes felt a connection with someone that passed away before I was born, but had put it down to stories that I'd heard about the person. In my own case that is probably true but your situations sounds very different and may well be a soul connection. Blessings.

I wonder too if a Soul-group is not actually an Earthly family group comprised of all our relations and friends. I do believe that souls travel and reincarnate together if they are of the same vibrational energy. I've come across people whose souls I have recognised although I had never clapped eyes on them before in their Human form. I then find out that as people we are very similar in one way or another. It is a fascinating subject which we will only know the truth about when we go Home to Spirit.
Blessings!

I haven't heard of family souls but it makes sense to me. We come to know one another so closely, in your case through research, and feel a connection of souls.

I have heard that people reincarnate in groups. Anything is possible no one knows the real truth. I have a picture of my grandfather's grandmother that I've had since I was about seven. She is the person we can go back the farthest on my father's side. Although I don't know much about her I feel a little connection to her because I look like her. We have the same ears which my father and his siblings have only mine are smaller (my father had huge ears ). We have the same lines around the mouth. If I squint my eyes a little I have the same eyes.

Maybe you were him in a previous life and thats why you feel this connection. I know about my family on my maternal side but they're just names with dates on a piece of paper. I dont feel any connection. I do miss my maternal grandfather because Ive known him. Never met my maternal grandmother though. I still feel "love" for her but its not the same as I didnt know her, only what mom told me about her mother.
I do believe we always come back as souls with the same people until we have nothing else to learn in this group......but thats me!

The question is: what is a family? In the end all people are one big family. I don't believe in souls of one family travelling together. But that doesn't mean that you can have a lot in common with one of your anchestres and feel you know him/her or you are the same.
