As we can see right now, there are lot of sects and cults/ religion. But I tell you mylotters, that only Jesus Christ can send you to Heaven. He said in John 14:6, that I am the way, the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.
I am not against your religion, because I respect our culture diversity. I also have my religion too, but I really believed that no matter from what denominations or religions you are, there is only one way to go heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. He died on the cross of Calvary just for us to have hope to go to heaven. He loved us so much that He lay his life for us sinners.
You just need to repent from your sins, trust God and have faith in Him that died, was buried and rose again on the third day just to redeemed us from the bondage of Sin. I hope this become a blessing to you. I also have freedom of speech just like you, that's why I voice this out.

This is very true! Only Jesus can send you to heaven and no one else. He even told us in the Bible that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no man can go to the Father if you will not accept him as your Lord and personal Saviour!

Yeah Jesus will send us to heaven if we will join his religion but if you are just accepting Jesus not his religion you won't be saved.

I too believe in Christ but I don't think that by just believing in him I will get into heaven. You should look around the world of today and even in your place of worship to see how many sick and greedy people are around you. To get into heaven you must live a great and fulfilled life with little or no sin. You do have the right to freedom of speech and no one should take that away from you.

Religion is not the way to salvation, only Jesus. However if our religion is wrong then how could we find Jesus the real Jesus I mean, the Jesus of the Bible. There are many religions claiming to be Christian but in reality they are nothing but cult. So we must be very wise in choosing the right religion. If we have truly repented and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then go to a church that is Christ centered and Bible believing don't remain in an old time religion that practices idolatry and yet claiming they are for Jesus, don't remain in a religion that teaches doctrines not found in the Bible, don't remain in religion that don't actually worship Christ but other saints although they were professing and fooling themselves and others that they do. There are also religions that don't believe Jesus is God so that kind of religion we should also avoid. So in closing I would say that indeed religion can't bring us to heaven however we should know how to choose the right religion because right religion can teach us the right way to heaven so people.... start scrutinizing your religion now. John 14:6 says, I am the way, the truth and the life, no one cometh unto the Father but by me. It is Jesus who was speaking in this verse and if it was Jesus who's speaking we can never ever question him? Now if your religion teaches other way than Jesus then you are at risk. Be careful, be wise!

To search for escape or to look for heaven is not the intend of religion. The endeavor of religion is also not to get one closer to God. The plan is not to achieve spirituality. One must live out a religion with an intend that it may make him a better human being than he already is.

To an extent I agree.
John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
I am in the line of thought that this is to be taken much more literally than people popularly believe. I suggest that it is not to know of Him, or about Him, or that He is, or what He would have you do, it is to know Him.
And I also suggest that to know Him secondhand - while beneficial and necessary at some point - is not the requirement.
So I suggest we should be on the path to know Him equally well as some of the 'famous' individuals in the bible did.
Seek and ye shall find - and some teachings or religions pass this concept on better than others. So what a person believes or their religion plays a direct role on what people expect and seek and find.
First we hear the Word, then we have faith in the message, understand it, and then we follow the course that our faith and inspiration takes us. So the message - the religion - that we hear and act on determines and in some instances limits the degree of faith we achieve. So while it is Christ that does the saving - I don't see anybody being saved with out a message (a religion). The more of a clear and accurate understanding we achieve the more empowered we will be.
Knowledge of how to start a fire keeps you warm, like true religion results in one being saved. While the fire does the actually warming that knowledge does you little good if one does not know how to gain access to the source of the warmth.
Anyway, a bit of a different perspective in a rambling kind of way. ;) Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts...

Hi bessyjanmay, I respect your right to believe as you do but what you say here is just one side of a story that has been told millions of times. I was born and raised a Christian and for much of my life believed as you do. I finally came to see that while this might be true for me, it could not possibly be true for everyone. Most Christians (and I'm sure others as well), have been brainwashed since childhood and feel that they have to be right. When we are told something over and over, and tell ourselves the same over and over, we will come to believe it. You can be certain that Millions of Muslims believe about the Koren as you do about the Bible. The same is true for other religions. The Christian faith may be fine for you, but try to be open to the possibility that God may have provided another way for those who will never get to know the Bible as you do. Blessings.

I am an agnostic so I question alot of the teaching and the way the Bible is transcribed. I believe in a higher power. I am a spiritualist and believe we have energy in each of called a soul. I also believe that God would not want us to give it all up to him and that he would want us to think alittle on our own. Something I really have a problem with is that. I see God as more of a intellect than as a Godly being.

That's true, no religion can send you to heaven. It's only our true faith in God, doing what is right and loving and helping our fellowmen that can help us go to heaven.

I feel that what Jesus has done for us in giving his life, his shed blood is very essential for our salvation. Jesus willingly gave his life to step in the place of Adam. Adam lost everlasting life and all the benefits that were to go along with it on this beautiful earth. Only a perfect individuals shed blood could buy that back. And that is why Jesus gave his life in order that we can that we can be restored to what God intended for mankind.

I Don't think so Jesus alone will save you, I guess not? You need to accept his teachings in order for you to be saved. I disagree with your view regarding no religion can send to heaven. YES there's only one religion can send you to heaven which is written in in 2 Corinthians 1:1 and no other else. If you want to be saved you have to accept Jesus plus his teaching and join his religion and obey all his commandments for you to be saved ^^

I seems to laugh for this statement. If religion makes us way to heaven. Then atheist or agnostic cant go for heaven and every religious people wil go for heaven. I believe ur character of goodness wil make u to heaven. If u make some peoples happy in earth then u wil be happy in heaven its my statement

Dear friend,
You have to keep many things in mind before making a statement on a contraversal topic. I includs atleast 25 yrs of research work, with the facts in hand & historic evediance that is available. I am a Romam Catholic & you know we BELIVE. Why do you say no religion can send you to heaven??? We all humans are a family & wehave faith in our relegion. I still practice yoga, it includes words like "OM" which creats vibretions in the universe, that does not make me a hindu. I can't say "Jesus" all the time!!! So, what relegion teaches us is important & our attitude is more important. Respect every relegion with your whole heart I'm sure you will find God. Best of luck... :):)

I don't think a religion can send you to heaven either. I personally am not sure what to believe though and I do not have quite a religion ( just my own one ), there may be a God out there watching over us, or may be not.
However some people do believe religion sends you to heaven ( or atleast following a religion well ), but that's because they believe so because of their religion, ironic enough
