On the metro newspaper, we are advised to watch out those online scam on house rental with super cheap price, and something too good to be true. Many people were got scammed by those scam artists who lifted real ads, with replacement of false contact information, and the payment terms. Most of them do want their perspective renters to pay the deposit or wire transfer to a foreign account, that is hard for the authority to investigate. Also, the advise warn people to see the house in person, and see the deed, and do background check on the real possession of the house. Don't yourself into a trap. With current economy, many people searching for better deal, but scam artists also taking this advantage over people.

Yes very true. Being cheap doesn't mean that you save a lot, but most scammers use this as an advantage and it's too late for you to realize if you invested already. Background check of the seller is a must so you can test them whether they are true sellers or not plus private investigation is also helpful.
