Where were you on 9/11?

7am pst, I received a frantic call from my supervisor. The first words that came out of her mouth - "We're being attacked". Still groggy from sleep, I had no idea what she was talking about. The concept of "being attacked" never would have occurred to me before, even if I were fully awake. Then she said to turn on the TV. And I knew. Our lives and our feeling of security would never be the same again. I didn't know anyone who died on 9/11, but my heart broke for every single soul that was lost that day. Where were you when our lives changed forever?

I was in the classroom at school. I had no idea anything was going on until a bit later in the day. In fact none of the students really had any idea what had happened until the second to last or lasts period. The teachers wanted to keep it from us, so not to freak us out. It was understandable, but we did find out gradually, although I don't think many of us really knew exactly the extent of what happened. Only something bad had happened.
Naturally the moment that we all got home, we could really see the fullest extent of what happened. Getting all of the information of the horror that really happened. It really made me horrified to say the very least. It is hard to believe that we are reaching the ten year anniversary of 9/11 in a few days. In many ways, it seems like it was just yesterday that this horrific attack happened and we're still thinking about it ten years later.

I'm at my house, watching tv. Then I saw in the news about the 9/11 and the World Trade Center. It's so scary. I was teary eyed that time.
