All of you must be knowing that India yet to register a win on the current England tour! They had a good chance in the first ODI match but rain disrupted. But after seeing second ODI match one can doubt that may be India got saved by rain in the first ODI In the second ODI Indian team scored 187 runs but couldn't defend it. Bowling was pathetic and one runs of out of words to explain it. It seems that India just have to finish the remaining matches (losing all?) and return home and take rest. They can't do anything much. And they need to grow in confidence and develop an incisive bowling attack and only then go to play. Or else they will get humiliated again and again. Hope they win at least one game in the current series against England. Share your views!

Hi Too sad. 187 was surely a good score. All Indian need is good bowlers (not the old one totally new faces).. With the current bowlers India couldn't save score more than this. None of them are effective. Yes yesterday's match result surely made me think that India could have lose the first match too.

Guys just imagine the feeling of the audience who are in the stadium buying ticket with pounds. WHat do they feel? I feel very sorry for the Indian fans who waited all the day for the rain to stop and the match start. When India was bowling the same fans must have prayed the rain gods to bring back that rain again.. :D Pathetic performance.

dont remind me about am already pissed about ....they dont have depth in their bowling and i dont see the future of bowling departement untill they do some shuffling in the bowling i think they need to have one pace bowler like bret lee or shane bond and a class spinner like shane warne

Yes they need bowlers like Lee, Bond and some good spinners. But I think this problem is deep rooted and not easy to solve. We have to just wait and see.

Bowling has definitely been the weakling in this team. Without Zaheer and after retirement of Kumble the bowling looks toothless. They perform well in bits and pieces, but as a bowling unit, they all do not come to the party in the same match. This is what has already cost us the No.1 ranking in the Tests and this is now spilling over to the ODIs as well. Cheers! Ram

well Wismay, I understand your disappointment. What I feel went wrong in this match was India's 188 is chase able one with inexperience bowling attack. Ashwin did not play in England until ODI's started whereas Swann played all the test matches. Munaf Patel should have been given the new ball instead of no discipline bowler Vinay Kumar. England too a risk by attacking Praveen Kumar and it worked for them. When players like Rihane, Raina and Partiv can hit Stuart Broad, Breasan and Anderson out of park for sixes then why can't England batsmen hit sixes and fours for bowlers like Munaf Patel, Raina, Kohli, Praveen Kumar and Ashwin. Do you think this bowling attack can stop England playing aggressive cricket, I do not think so. So, It is again the duty of Indian batsmen to again score a big one, that means India should have set a target of 220 min. But the game turned around when Partiv Patel was dismissed and Dravid came to crease. Here England bowlers managed to squeeze some quite overs. Indian batsmen thought of accelerating in end but wickets feel regularly, the set batsman Rihana should have tried to remain till the end because it won't be easy for new batsmen to come and hit straight away then no much overs left. But it did not happen and Dhoni failed again and Raina could not take the score to 190 plus in the last over of the innings. The match was lost by India in the first 6 overs of the second innings. England scored 70 odd runs in first 6 overs and they hundred too came in less than 10 overs, so, they made the run rate quite before the power-play finishes. England did play to the plan and Indian team has no answer for the initial burst of Cook and the other opener. Usually Sehwag gives that time for surprise to opposite team but this time team India is on the receiving end. In coming matches too if Praveen Kumar and Ashwin fails then India cannot defend any kind of target. So, it is bowling which is lot of worry and batting need to more aggressive when it is most needed that is mostly at the time of powerplay's.

Hi Madhuvamsi! Actually I am not disappointed. I was expecting this. I thought it will happen in the world cup itself but somehow they managed with their batting and home pitches. The real problem is WEAK bowling. Period. No one can be confident of winning with this kind of bowling attack! They shine in one or two games but play poorly in most of the games. It is simply because they are ordinary and don't try to improve their bowling. And have become lazy due to IPL and the easy money they get there. Otherwise one can't see why they can't work out more. Dravid did his part. He scored 32 from 30 balls. Yes it may be less but you will never know if he had failed to do even that what other batsmen might have done. And the score was quite good. It is the bowling that let us down. Why batsmen have to score more in every game? Why not bowlers take wickets? You must be remembering India scored 412 or something against Sri Lanka but won by 3 runs! India might have lost that match. So should we say that India should score even more? how much? 500? 550? 600? There is no end to such things. Bowlers should be able to take wickets. Unless this problem is solved Indian team will keep struggling.

It was really pathetic to see India losing in the second match against England. As i watched India batting, I was sure that India will win this match but all changed suddenly as England batted well. Perhaps Indians bowlers were not up to their mark. They even couldn't resist such a decent total.

India lost the match in first 7 overs itself. England started with 10 runs per over and scored 100 runs within no time and there after it was just playing through the overs. Indian bowling was poor.

worst performance of indian team continue whenbatsman have done thier job bowlers let the team down It is very hard for india now will they ever going to won a single match i think not. The performance is too poor to say anything. Captain dhoni he didn't take good decision to make sure englnad didn't score. Bowlers were getting hit and he just sent them to do so. He must have rotated bowler in a good way. It sseems to be very true what you say about first odi, i also think same. These bowler what to say can't going to take india home. Very poor , 187 was a good score to defend but .......

Capatin Dhoni is struggling with bat and also seems to be tired of keeping. He needs some rest. He also played in West Indies Test series while some took a break. So selectors should rest for some time. It might also help him to come into form. Bowling has been real poor and unless something has been done to improve that India can't win matches and lose more often.

Bowling had been a headache for indian team so far in this series. I would be really amazed when india won any match in this series with this dumb bowling side.
