I am living in Iloilo with my wife now that I have gotten out of the military. We will soon be opening up our little store that will mostly be selling food items as she has informed me :). My question here is essentially for anyone that is in the Philippines in general but anyone can respond. I am considering participating, at least a little in my own way, to the products in our store. I am half american and half german. I grew up around both of my parents who really enjoyed cooking and it kinda passed on to me. The major difference is I am pretty big into pastries and experimenting a little bit with known recipes. What I am wondering is if any of you would even consider trying something if you had not had it before? It may be a similar meal but slightly different ingredients, I definitely lean towards spicy when I cook meals, and my desserts are really rich. The next question is If you have tried things like this before what was your reactions or experiences with that? Let me know and I hope we can have a great conversation here on wonderful food.

Are you in ILoilo City and will that store sell items in the City or are you living in one of the provinces in Iloilo. I am a very experimental person myself and would love to try anything new at all. If you happen to be opening that store in the city, please let me know. Would love to check it out.

Having new food recipe is not a problem. People will try it if it suits their taste buds.Food in general has to be delicious and nutritious so that it will be attractive to the clients. Presentation and preparation are also important factors to consider. For people who really love to eat, the price is not a problem. May I know the name of the food store? This coming December,I will be home for Christmas. Since I only come home every two months, we always have a family treat. We will try to visit your store.:-) By the way, cooking is my favorite past time. I love cooking but not really fond of eating.:-)

I am in the US and am always curious about new types of food. I have gone to the Egyptian restaurant we had here. It was interesting but not really that tasty. We have a greek restaurant here now and I am hopeing to try it soon. I guess the new thing is Fondu. I am not big on it and probably won't try it.

Thank you for your military service. I love spicy food, dessert pastries and Greek food. I really enjoy trying new dishes that I may not have had before.
