A while ago I started some discussions about fish and then I'm reminded of mermaids and mermen so it got me thinking, do they really exist? has there been genuine proofs of their existence? or is it that they are products of some artistic minds?

Mermaids are just a mythological being that was told in stories from ages ago. Its first existence in story was at about 1000BC told in Assyria ..that is present day Iraq. Suppose if they were really existed than without a solid proof we cannot say its real existence.

I hope so too because they appear to be very friendly as what movies portray them to be. Who knows right? Maybe they're not yet ready to be discovered

the closest thing to a mermaid or mermen is a dogong. mermaid ou mermen could exist but not the way he «know»: theyd need to be really fat because of the temperature of the water, and could not have hair and the skin yout be wrinkled because of the water salt!

So I think that your answer lies between the middle, maybe yes or maybe no. Well, yeah I guess unless we saw one with our own eyes then that's the time we do really believe, thanks for sharing your views

I don't think they do. They're just myths created by story writers to arouse the interest of children. There hoaxes though about findings of mermaid remains although they have been proven fake not long before they were discovered by media.
