No, I don't think that you are ungrateful. You are just trying to get a better thing to your life. And, think with me, when they are thinking of firing you, do they tell you about this? Normally they don't give you a chance to do a better work to keep your job. And it is reaaly difficult tell to your boss that you are searching for another job, because he can think that you are unhappy and unmotivated, and if you didn't get the job, he would fire you because of this.

No, this happens all the time. How else can you get the day off to go on the interview. You cannot tell your boss the truth afterall.

I have actually left a job i was at for an interview. Well left during hte middle of the day saying i had a doctors apointment and then someone i told told my boss and that didnt work out to well because i didnt get the job. I actually quit the place i was at because i just didnt like it and i looked elsewhere for work. I have been on and off again looking for work and trying to do something better with my life but i think if i could make a good amount of money online i wouldnt need to get a better job or even a second job. I have a second job during november and december so i dont worry to much abou that but its just during the year i might need a second job if i dont make the money i would like to online.

Don't beat yourself up for it. If it bothers you so much, just tell on yourself... but as long as no one knows.. you are okay. No boss wants to know you went looking for work elsewhere, so I'd just keep my mouth shut. If you don't get the job, you might need to call in again to try for another job. It happens... we take days off to look for a better job. It's just something that is necessary to do if you want to get ahead. Don't worry about it. I just wouldn't be telling anyone.

Hey JUSTBLACK.. Firstly.. I think its funny you feel a sense of guilt but at the same time, its admirable.. shows you have a conscience, unlike some who just bunk the day off with no intention of doing anything constructive with their day.. Besides, if you want to progress in life my friend, how else would you do it?. Its one day, where you are trying to explore the possibility of progression to ensure your fulfilling your happiness and sense of self gratification- just think if you didnt do it..you would have thought 'WHAT IF'..and I think thats even worse to be honest, not knowing.. So.. I say..dont worry.. and continue with your path to success and most importantly happiness.. I wish you all the best with your future ventures.. (",)
