Hi guys, I am after some advice on Instant Download Software for my customers and was hoping that someone here might have some recommendations.
I have been selling through my online store for a few years now and have mostly physical products that I ship all over Australia. We also have digital products in the form of Ebooks, but until now we have been emailing them out. We wish to automate this process with a program and be in the position to allow affiliates to promote the products.
Does anyone out there have any experience with this kind of software, both good or bad?
I am currently looking at a company called DLGuard which seems to do everything that I want it to.
Thanks in advance.
Bill

I purchased a legal copy of Microsoft Office 2010 as an instant download and although I did not have any problems with the download and installation I did discover eventually that I was sold a trial copy and had a great deal of trouble obtaining a permanent registration code from Microsoft. The site admin that sold me the software was helpful and eventually managed to obtain a permanent licence code so I could use the product. Aside from that experience I can’t say I have ever tried anything else.

That sounded like a bit of a drama Paula. I have never purchased Microsoft products as downloads before. Usually I use free software like Open Office instead.
But what I need is software like Microsoft would have on their site that allows customers to pay for and receive instantly downloaded files. My wife has written Ebooks that we really want to get out there. We are limited with out current setup to selling to Australia.

Ubuntu works completely differently to Windows when it comes to installing software. You really need to have a bit more technical knowledge. Try searching forums like this one. http://ubuntuforums.org/
I found them to be a little useful when I was using Linux.

My husband knows about instant download software. But I dont know about it. Ebooks is good and I think this is good for college students.
