Never thought I'd be in one but one time we were having our office Christmas party and there was this contest for Mr.PROM KING AND QUEEN. Every department has a representative but our guy went home early and I was forced to take his place. Totally against my will, grumbling as I go on the stage to take our guy's place. I tried to endure all the posing that it entailed, I didnt really like posing and modelling coz I don't really think I'm at all good looking to be joining such contest. There came the question and answer portion, we were the last pair to answer. The questions asked before us were pretty ordinary but when it came to us, the judge asked, "One of the criteria to win this is physical attributes, I don't see that in you, what do you consider your best physical attribute? (not verbatim, but that's more or less what he said) I really thought that was pretty insulting and mean. But I answered, "I believe that physical attributes is not purely physical. I believe confidence can also be considered a physical attribute. I can say that confidence is my best physical attribute." The judges nodded and then they asked us to sing. We sang O HOLY NIGHT, fortunately I know the song and been practicing it beforehand, didnt know i'll be singing it for this event. Then more posing and smiling, and flashing lights. Then the winners were announced. I didnt really expect it and was so surprised when our names were called. The audience didnt seem to agree either, they were expecting the more good looking ones to win. But who cares, we won and got the cash prize!

This is really interesting and great experience right?
In the first place it's not you who, who is officially representing your dept, but look what happened, it turns out to be a good riddance.
At least you have proven them that..you are worth the sub-
I wonder what the official participant ever think after knowing that you won the contest.
have a good day

well, come to think of it. I never bothered knowing what he thought. I was just relieved it was over and more so that I won despite protests(which I learned later). Some people in the office thought others should have won

Critics never run out of gossips- let them murmur, they're just envious

Wow congratulations then! I never joined any beauty pageant. I just joined a contest when I was young. It is a beauty and talent contest. I won the talent portion and the grand prize. I don't remember much of what happened since I'm so young during that time. I just saw it in the pictures.
