will Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight ever happen?

I'm a huge boxing fan and would love to see manny and floyd take it to the ring and give all boxing fans around the world the fight we've all been waiting for. Unfortunately, for all of us its been a long, long wait. Both boxers and their promoters and still on an endless disagreement to start the mega fight.
Mayweather still insists Pacquiao should take drug tests that are too close to fight day. He says he's not ducking on Manny, whom many believed, is the man to beat him.He says that the random drug test is the best way to clean up the sport of boxing and if Manny is the best pound-for-pound, he should not dodge the needle. Manny thinks differently though. He believes Floyd is making his own rules and drug testing a day before the fightis too uncomfortable for the Filipino icon.
Recently, Floyd is coming back from a long hiatus from boxing but he's taking on another opponent Victor Ortiz. Pacquiao is also training hard for a 3rd fight with Marquez and vowed to prove his edge and shut up critics.
Both fighters have the clear superiority to win their fights. But will they "ever" meet and settle who is the BEST? Mayweather says he doesn't worry about it because "all roads lead to him". His record proves his assertion. But still he will be questioned over his dislike to fight Pacquiao.
As an optimistic fan, i still hope the fight will happen...but when?

It's plain and simple. Mayweather needs pacquiao more than pacquiao needs Mayweather. In fact, Pacqiuao has no need of Mayweather at all. Pacquiao just wants to fight Mayweather for his fans, money is no longer an issue since who ever manny fights he gets more of the purse. It's only a matter of time before mayweather will be forced to shallow his pride since nothing's going to happen as far as his demand is concerned. With all the suits his facing right now, mayweather money is slowly drying up and no body is going to give that much money except fighting Pacquiao. Manny on the other hand just sits there and enjoy life's pleasures while Mayweather fights his court battles.

I appreciate ur wise opinion. If Mayweather claims he is the best then he SHOULD fight Pacquiao under any circumstances. He just talks too much and is peppered with legal suits left and right. On Manny's side, his last 5 fights is already planned, including his political plans for the Philippines. He only cares for the joy of boxing fans around the world.With or without mayweather, he will be satisfied to fulfill it. For me he is the TRUE pound-for-pound king because he doesn't chose his opponent. He fights the best out there...
