watching tv

Hi, charig2010. Welcome to myLot! Yes, I do agree that T.V. is something else these days! The films and shows that are being shown on T.V. is just outrageous! Take "King Of The Hill", for an example here. My son likes to watch this show because it is a cartoon. He thinks that it is a cartoon for children, because that is what children his age usually watches, cartoons! Well, I have to constantly remind him that this cartoon isn't just a cartoon, it is an adult swim cartoon. This cartoon recites curse words, they talk dirty and they display inappropriate body language movements that is not acceptable for a child to see. I only trust channels like, Noggin, Nick Jr. Sprout, ETV, The Disney Channel and many other appropriate child acceptable channels that a child should watch. How will the children every learn anything positive from T.V. if nothing but bad shows and films are constantly being shown on television?

Some reality shows are fun yes, but then think about it. It's all about money. Here in my country people don't watch TV a lot. Neither do I. Very rarely and when I do, I usually watch Discovery Channel or something like that.

There are alot of reality shows now a days. Some are good, like children can watch american idol because maybe one day they will say they want to be like someone on that show which isnt bad at all because there idols to the world. Also many tv services offer tvs in your household to not have channells on during certain shows and what not because its bad for children, if you are worried about certain things like that and want a lock on channels i suggest looking into this for your TVS in your household. yes, we only get entertainment show but not education program..what a pity many television channel give us rubbish program
