In the second test Australia bowled out Sri Lanka for 174 runs. It seems Sri Lanka is struggling. After Muralidharan retired one expected them to find it difficult but they are struggling with batting too. That too at home! Right now all Asian countries seem to be in bad phase. Bangladesh had a bad tour of Zimbabwe, India had a disastrous tour of England, Sri Lanka seem to be having a bad series and Pakistan is having their own problems. What do you think is the reason for Sri Lanka's struggle against Australia? Share your views!

yes the Srilankans are beginning to rebuild their team like India. Jayasurya,Vaas and murali have retired. So it will take time for them to recoup. Its the same with most countries now, except perhaps England who have gone through this phase already. They have a new and young team now which can play for another 10 years

Yes they are also having problems with bowling. And if Mahela and Sangakkara retire then they will be having trouble with batting too. Dilshan is also 35 years or so. So they may find themselves with all new players. I guess Sri Lanka will struggle in Test matches for a while. Happy Mylotting!

Sri Lanka actually batted very poorly and Australia bowled and fielded very well. Sangakarra and Angelo Mathews did lead a fightback, but it was not enough. Australia have replied very strongly and already lead by 90 runs with 7 wickets in hand. I think Aussies look good to take a 2-0 lead in the test series. Cheers! Ram
