Anyone makes a living by being a travel writer?

I love to travel as well as write. Im a lady and I want to travel alone and write to make a living. Has anyone done this before? What are the risks and will anyone read my blogs if i use it as a source of income for the travelling? Will it be enough to support me fully?

When I was in Australia I met a man that was a travel writer and photographer. He used to stop whilst going along to take a special photo. One evening he took an amazing looking sunset. He sent me one of his books written in German and it had the sunset photo in it. He lived in America but was German. I think that you could begin by sending some writing to a travel magazine. Doing travel writing could eventually be enough to support you and your family. Good luck.
