What is the purpose of you commenting on a discussion? I know, we are all here to earn however what I am asking is that do you post a comment to share your insights or merely comment for comment's sake? Do you choose a particular discussion to comment upon cause you feel that you have a relevant thought to share towards a discussion or simply to earn? All ideas are welcome, thanks.

Simply put, if the discussion interests me enough to get a couple of decent sized paragraphs out of it, it is going to be something that I am going to respond to. There are many topics on here and thankfully for that, there are a wide variety of them. Many of them are not my cup of tea, but there are people who are going to be interest by them, so there you go. I think that often times, I just feel inspired to talk about what is at hand. Granted, if I am going to be interested by them, I'm going to say a great deal about them for sure. Therefore, the discussions that are interesting are going to be something that I enjoy. Sometimes I make a relevant point, but other times, I just like to ramble. Don't we all? Seriously if it interests me, then its all good.

Megamatt... thanks for commenting... What you said is true... you can't comment unless you are interested...

I comment on my friends discussions who have been commenting on mine to let them no I appreciate them. I comment then on interesting topics that I have a thought on or that is relevant to me. I comment when I think I can be helpful. I comment when someone is needing a kind word. If all else fails, I look harder for something to comment on so that I can still earn something from mylot on that day.

Hello, There are hundreds and hundreds of discussions posted here in myLot everyday, believe me I only ever respond to the discussions that are of interest to me. To earn more you need to add value to the topic or discussion, you cant do this if you are not interested in what is being discussed. I like to earn but I dont have enough time to respond to discussions just for the sake of it. Quality is everything. Have a great day.

Hello Haddowz.... Quality is indeed everything not just in mylot but also in reality. If you are not adding value to the topic or discussion you are commenting on don't bother commenting cause no one will appreciate it (certainly not me if is it my discussion). Same goes in reality, if you do not value what you do no one will. thanks for the insight...

I enjoy sharing my insights and learning from others. I participate in discussions when I think that my thought is relevant to the topic being discussed and unique from other responses.

MandaLee... it is nice to hear from you again... Sharing your insights and learning from othes are opportunities for growing up that's why choosing which discussion to respond to is important. Thanks for responding.

I must admit that I do sometimes comment just to simply comment and try to earn. I usually do this with very general discussions. But most of the time, I do respond to discussions which really interests me. I love to add up my two cents with those discussions which I feel that I have some experience or ideas to share out. These topics are easy to answer because of the first hand experience and interest I had to such discussions. Sometimes I comment to ask or clarify things in a certain discussion topic. But I usually don't respond directly to the discussion but rather squeeze my questions within a response in a certain topic discussion.
