Do you ask questions?? Or settle for what you know??

Growing up in an era considered the 'information age' has given me the desire to learn! I am a very curious person, and when I hear about or am asked about any subject I do not know much about, I will search for the answers. Every single day I find myself searching for answers on the internet.
So, let me ask you myLotters... Do you ask question to learn new things?? Or are you comfortable with your knowledge base. Personally, I feel like I would drive myself crazy if I did not learn at least one new thing about the world around me every day!
Your thoughts??

If I am curios of something that I don't know.. Sometimes I ask questions to the right person if I get the chance. But most of the time, I research it myself because I tend to not believe someone fully with what he/she would say to me. I want to discover it my own.

Yeah I agree with you.
When you were once a kid, you'll just won't stop asking questions, especially asking your parents. When you have a young mind, you'll always opened to discovering more and knowing more. Now all grown up, you don't ask those questions anymore but it will be your turn to do the answering! =)

I am the same way Cher!!! Sometimes I think people think I am a 'know it all', but I just love to learn! And I love to share knowledge of what I acquire with the people around me!
The net is an awesome tool to acquire knowledge. Today, you can learn how to do anything from cooking a chicken, to remodeling your home, to building your own shed! I love it!!

I love asking question because I'm always eager to learn things I do not know. It also depends on the situation. Like in our class, sometimes, I want to ask the professor questions about our topic but I'm kinda shy. I'm not the type of student who always asks questions that's why sometimes I'll just go find the answer all by myself. It also depends on the person I am talking to. If I feel comfortable talking with him/her, I ask questions but if not, I don't though I want to. I just wish I can fight the feeling of shyness because, because of this shyness, I can't ask questions. Its so hard for me. I was just afraid that the person I asked will just say, "Don't ask me that stupid question." or "Common sense.". Huhu. It hurts. That's why now, whenever I want to learn about things I do my own research or I study by myself. I go to libraries, browse the internet and its really helpful. :D But I'm the type of person who has many questions but I just settle for what I know. :D anyway, that' all. Happy mylotting. ;D

I don't really ask alot of questions, but I do research things that interest. For instance at my families Labor Day meal a cousin of mine referred to the brest of a chicken as a keel. I had never heard that done before and had to look it up to see if she knew what she was talking about...she did lol.

I think that its fair to consider research on the internet as asking questions!! When you looked up the word 'keel', you were asking yourself what the meaning of the word is!
Thank you for sharing this in your purse. I had never heard that term before, so you taught me something today!!

I do ask some questions, but I do try to figure things out for myself. I do a lot of research about things, so I will ask questions when I cannot get the answers to what I research.. like if I read something but it makes no sense, then I will ask.. and probably STILL not understand...

I am not afraid to ask questions about anything. I like to be in the know about things instead of left in the dark.

I'm so glad to know that there's someone who's exactly as curious as I am. I also search for details about every subject I don't know much about that's why I spend a lot of time browsing the net researching about almost anything. I love learning new things and it makes me more than happy if I get to share it with others.

We're the same. I can't stand not knowing answers. As I child I've been curious already. I loved watching Knowledge Channel and learn stuff. I also enjoyed reading some of my school textbooks. I used to envy people who had encyclopedia sets at home. We couldn't afford it so I frequented the library.
When computers had graphics and prices went low, we were able to afford a computer. I was in 2nd year highschool then. I remember me twiddling around the various folders of windows ME and then Windows XP. I played around microsoft office. played the games, learned how to download, learned how to surf the net, and before I knew it, I was addicted to the Internet! I was learning loads and enjoying at the same time!

Well, I think that the easiest way to acquire knowledge is to be curious and ask and be able to get the answers from other people. It is quite simple to learn just by asking. As for me, I really try to ask out if I don't know something. No individual knows everything. And yes, learning is fun and should always be taken into consideration while living life. I love to learn too and apply what I learn and improve myself using the new knowledge I have learned. I can say, I do have a habit of asking other people about things I don't know. But sometimes I think they get irritated with all those questions I am barraging at them.

Wouldn't you be stressing yourself out by expecting to learn at least something new everyday? Yes, I do ask questions but not necessarily to learn something new. I am a keen learner but I won't want to learn something new that I have no interest in. Neither do I want to make sure that I learn something new everyday because ro me, that would be giving myself unnecessary stress.

The internet has definitely contributed in my quest for answers. For myself I am satisfied with the knowledge background I have but it becomes insufficient because learning is indeed a lifelong process. For me, certainly acquiring more knowledge means asking questions and think critically. It could be after reading a book, a magazine/internet article et cetera. Or on the other hand, I take a stroll alone and most preferably early morning so that I can think about all and everything that comes to my mind. While pondering over certain issues, at times I find myself having no answers to what I want to know. This in turn makes me become more eager to learn things I do not know.
