What are the good books to read to spare time?

I dont want some chick flick stuff..but what good books can you recommend me to read that draw wonderful, extraordinary insights in life?

I have read The Five People You Meet In Heaven and I am currently reading Yesterday I Cried. These are inspirational books. I enjoy books by Mitch Albom and Paulo Coelho. I'm also not into romance novels because the characters are way too out of this world.
