I think that you mean "User Rating" (the number in brackets by your name). Read about it here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx
What are the benefits?
1) When you reach a User Rating of 100, you will see your "star", which is your "MyLot Reputation". This is determined by the Discussion Rating System and shows what other people think of the quality of your participation. The more that people positively rate your discussions, responses and comments, the higher value this will have when it appears. You will also be able to rate other people's posts. Just remember that 'soliciting for ratings' ... asking people to rate your posts is a big no-no here! You should expect people to rate you only on the quality or merit of your responses and comments.
2) When your User Rating is 200, you will be able to use up to three emoticons in each of your posts (if you want to).
3) When you reach 500, you will be able to copy and paste more than just a simple URL or a few words. Be careful about this. Make sure that you understand the Guidelines concerning copyright material and plagiarism.

I don't know what you mean by "mylot points". There is no such term in mylot.
Can you explain what do you want to know?
If you refer to the number in the brackets besides your name, it shows the number of posts you wrote (well, not all the comments are counted in that number but you are definitely paid for all of them).

There are no points here on myLot.
If you are referring to the number in brackets by your username (the user rating)
or the user reputation (the star) then myLot explain both here:
