How many times do you wear your clothes before you wash them?

I was reading an article and it had mentioned to save yourself some laundry to wear your slacks up to 5x and tops up to 3x before washing. I can see the tops as long as they are not slopped you didn't not sweat in them. But the pants unless I wore them for say a few hours then I would wear them again otherwise no. Pj's I'd wear maybe a week in a row only if I was able to shower before hand otherwise I'd wash them more often.

Undershirts, or white T-shirts under polo's etc, I use only ones, usually that's where the odor gets to first as well as sweat. Polo's, sweaters basically any male top, I tend to use twice before washing with like 1-2 week gaps in between. Pants, or shorts, I tend to only use ones, as they do normally get sweat and start to smell, especially when I wear them for more than 12 hours (I am a student I am school most of the time).
I tend to resort to wearing white t shirts most of the time, if not just wear a sweater (hoodie, etc.) over them. So in the end I just have pants and t-shirts to wash, and the occasional sweater washing which is very rare

This usually depends on the material the cloth is made of,the temperature outside and your personal body.I hate the fact that nowadays people have so many places and ways to have the contact with water either to take a shower or bath themselves but they still smell.Do it as often as you feel you should before your clothes become stinky.

Well, what most people do not realize is the more you wash clothes, the more the clothes become faded out, and look worn. So that is why most places are saying wear the clothes longer. With most tops most of the time I will only wear them once if they have been worn all day. Skirts I tend to wear 3-4 times at least unless I have gotten them dirty before throwing them in the wash. It makes for less laundry to do all the time as well.

It really depends on how I feel on a given day. Some things I will wear for a day and then wash, especially if it was stinky. Sometimes I would wear the same thing for two or three days. I often wear things longer than I should because I tend to be lazy.

Shirts I will typically only wear once before I put them in the laundry. However, with pants, I will wear them 5-6 times before I wash them because they just don't get dirty in wearing them only once.
Socks and underwear are always changed at least once a day, and sometimes more than that. Pajamas are typically worn for three to four nights before they are washed.
I learned all of this from my mother because I remember her chewing my dad out all the time about putting a pair of jeans in the hamper after only wearing them once, she said that it was a waste of water and detergent and I tend to agree with her on that one.

depends.if it's not stinky or dirty,i guess it can go a bit.but once it's one or the other, forget about it.if you live in apartments, sometimes you have no choice but to wear it awhile.

Yes that could save you some soap, water and electricity and will also preserve the clothes as well. But,I think it all depends if I perspired a lot during the day and had a lot of activities that made my clothes not suitable for another wear then I'd put them in the laundry basket after wearing. But if not I normally wear my clothes at least two times before washing them. For skirts and pants then I can still extend up to 3 times maybe.

For me it depends on how soiled it is. Usually, when it is hot i would have my t-shirts washed after using them for the day. But for my denim pants, it would be after wearing them twice.
However, for my nightwear, i would usually have them washed after it has already a not good smell. as to my house clothes, which i get to wear only after i arrived at the office at night, and in the morning, as i prepare myself to go to work, i would have them washed after using them for 3 days.
But if they would smell not good already, i would have them placed in the hamper already, to be washed on weekends by the laundrywoman.

I do not have a set time that I change my clothes but I do prefer to change them often. I like to feel fresh everyday so I try to wear a new shirt everyday however Sometimes other things get in the way and I do not have time to think about what I am wearing.

I usually wear pants for 2 days. That's because I mostly wear yoga pants. A lot of times, especially with weather changes and going out at night I will change my pants during the day so I will only have worn them half a day so I will keep them out and maybe wear them 3 times, maybe 4. Last week I realized I had been taking out a clean pair of pants every soccer evening and then realized I had 4 pairs in the stack of worn but not laundry.
Shirts, well, I usually change every day because they do smell of sweat. If they don't then I will wear a second day. Again, I have been changing shirts midday for soccer games in the evening or for church in the afternoon. The only thing I can say for sure that goes in the laundry basket every night is underpants and socks, if worn. I'll wear my bra for a week, jammies too. I should probably change them more often but the laundry piles up a lot in this house and I get sick of doing it so I hold onto my clothes as long as possible.
My husband works in a factory and wears a work uniform so he will pick out a set of clothes (pants and shirt) and wear them for a week because he is only wearing them before and after work. It's my teenage daughters who are constantly changing clothes and putting them in the laundry after only wearing them for an hour. I've been known to pick a hoodie out of the laundry and put it right back in their room when I know they didn't have it on for very long and it doesn't smell. However, I'm down to one daughter now with my oldest now at college. But that doesn't mean she won't be bringing a slew of laundry home with her next time she comes.
It takes me days to do laundry because I try and do it at night when it is cheaper to run the machines. Then I don't get back to it until the next night. By the time I finish my laundry a whole other load has gathered upstairs.

It depends on what I'm doing, how long I've been wearing the outfit, etc. I do have more tolerance for re-wearing pants or skirts than tops. Dresses really depend on the fabric; the ones that are made of fussy, hand wash only materials end up getting hung up and reworn several times; of course, I've usually only had them on for a little bit for services or to go out and have dinner or such.

I use my tops once and my pants twice. I change my "inside the house" apparels twice a week. Yeah. Sometimes, the consideration in changing clothes is the laundry. I hate doing the laundry. Its a really tiring work. If only I've got some spare money, I would really bring it to a laundry shop.
