Absolutely not. You can always use it to your benefit. It is a very cost effective way to interact with people. I chat with my friends about class notes and study materials and what to prepare. We discuss topics related to our study. It is also a nice way to keep tabs and relations intact with your old and new friends. It saves a lot of money for me. God... if only I had to do the same thing on the phone...!!!!

I am really sorry but I do not have much idea about the transfers. I have never made a transfer from my paypal account. All my money is sitting there in my account. I have looked around over the internet and it looks like there are often problems in transferring from paypal to your bank account. Since I have not been 100% sure, I have not yet taken the risk.

Sorry..I can't agree with that...By communicating with others we can keep a friendly mind...The communication with our friends can help us to reduce the mental depression and we can discuss any matters about studies...We can make it as a group discussion and it will help the children...But the chatting with other people who you don't know will be use less...Thank you....

Hey Lijoos.....Malayalam is not allowed in mylot...You can only use english... You can send messages to say something like that...But you should not post any malayalam words in any discussions...They will eject your account...So be careful... And I said that because of my close friend's experience....She is now like a mental patient because of chat...A guy cheated her... All the best.......

It is not a waste of time for me,because i enjoy chatting with new people.Sharing ideas, and get to know the person more. I have a lot of friends and family on Facebook,a if am log in i will chat for a while with who online. but i do communicate online with my family members who are living aboard,an chatting online with make it easy an cheaper for us too.but for children who are going to school, should concentrate on their books/studies and not Facebook.

They maybe right, friend. Because study first before facebook in my opinion. If stay on facebook and concentrate on your studies that really a waste of time...We get nothing on facebook if we chat or post something... But if your student and used facebook to make some money that's really a wise action.

Opinion varies from person to person. As for myself, I can say that personally I believe that chatting online is a mere waste of time and so I never chat online.

Saying that chatting online is a waste of time, is the same as saying that hanging out with their friends is a waste of time. Yes, you have to get your work done before you go and socialize, but we all enjoy socializing, so as long as you're done your work, then why not?

I feel like it can be, but isn't necessarily. I mean, of course kids should concentrate on studies, but at the same time, they should have a social life. It would be better, in my opinion, if they met MORE outside of the internet (just like how I wish kids still played outside instead of playing video games and computer games and whatnot..Agh). But I think a balance of play/socializing and studies is always a good thing.

I am not agree with you. If you are all day ont those sites without any reasons than it is wasting of time. But you have lots of benefits, chating. You can be paid for this, you can meet good friends all over the world and knowing this people. I like to meet peoples and there colture and thats the way I can do this.

hello, For me it is not that waste of time because it is has a benefit for many of us. Not all of them are just wasting time just to chat they also do it for a reason. Maybe chatting online is just a break to them for their studies.

I absoutely agree, they area horrible waste of time. They should be illegal ! I personally waste lots of time on it, even though I know how bad it is. I now I have to leave it forever, but sometimes it is necessary :(

It depends. If I do something important,I won't chat online.I think it's waste of time.I need more time to do what is more important for me.If I have free time.I'll chat online. It can have a relax. So in my opinion,it depends what you are doing when you are chatting. If you are sutdying, don't chat online,it's really waste of time.Concentrate on the studying is more important!!!

sometimes i am agree and sometimes i am not agree ,because sometimes we do not understand anything ,but with the help of chatting with our friends ,we can easily understand this, many of times,we donot have any knowledge about anythhing but our frinds give us a great knowledge to share about there experience, with the help of group discussion,we can know a lot of things, even if if we onlu read the book,we get only know about few of things, beacuse if we read anything ,we learn a few of things, but if we discuss that things then we learn about many of things,i think chatting is good for this, but it is not good on that time, when we never think about that our planning and our studies, just for fun and time pass ,we chat with our friends, this is not a good thing

I believe this would be a case by case thing. If a student is spending more time on chat than they are doing homework or chores that need doing, then they need to take a break from it and refocus on the necessary work. If they're done with the studies and chores, then they should be encouraged to socialize with their friends, as long as they are being safe while doing so.

It's not a waste of time. It's a another fun way to relax! I love chatting! Meeting new people online is fun. I love it when I find someone who has the same interest as I do, aside from my offline friends. Just don't neglect your studies and you'll do good.
