Just as men, women also cherish the idea of exploring new locations of their own which differs from person to person.
I personally feel that they should be very careful in all aspects and wish that they should dress neatly depending upon the country they choose.....
What do you say...??

Hi, busybee10. I agree. When a woman travels alone she must make sure that she is dressed appropriately. But ideally this is not always the case though. Someone will still find her attractive and seductive that may make them want to do something bad to her. A woman should just make sure that she is on guard and on key point at all times.

Yes cream97, what you told is right and as woman is the most atractive human on this beautiful world some get bad thoughts in their minds which results in bad results.Any how woman should always be cauriousw in their all to all things to safeguard them in their movements.
But sorry to say that some woman even though know all these behave in a sexy manner in their tours which really makes a man to generate bad thoughts...isnt it.
Be transparent in these please....

I am a British woman and I am very keen on traveling to different countries. In my younger days I traveled alone and now I travel with my 4 year old disabled son and my 2 year old daughter. I dressed in a conservative and respectful way when I traveled to Israel and Jordan. I don't wear beach style clothing when I am in towns in places like Mexico, Belize and Guatemala.
When I was in the Northern Territory in Australia many insects were biting. I bought a hat with a net over it. Some ladies had hats with corks around the edge. I dressed in long trousers to avoid mosquito bites at dusk time.
I was safe most of the time on my travels except for a couple of bad experiences. After dark in Malaysia I fell down an open drain and injured my leg. In the Maldives I hired a bike and took it up a chain of islands. At the end of one of the streets I saw a stunning looking beach so I went to it. Little did I know what would happen next. A man came up to me on the lonely beach and attacked me.

These are very difficult and dangerous times that we live in.Whether you are a man or a woman travelling alone on your own can be quite risky especially if you are a woman. There are very few countries in the world where it is absolutely safe to travel alone.Kidnapping, rape and murders are the fate of those who take the risk of travelling alone. In many instances lone tourists have completely disappeared without a trace and have never been found again. One should always have a travelling companion, even more than one preferably to be on the safer side, because if something happens to one then there are others who can go to the authorities to try and trace them or locate them or get them out of trouble.

Before going to a particular place, one must know the do's and dont's.
Being alone and a woman needs a lot of care when it comes to travelling to different places.
Dress code is a must..not to offend the country people since we differ from culture and tradition ,and dressing is also one of the big difference in other part of this globe.

jaiho2009 - what you say is correct. It is always beneficial to have and gain knowledge of the place we are planning to visit.
Yes,as you say dress code is a must because it varies from country to country and also is different at different places...

my story was big. I was a teacher in sri Lanka. at early days I had to teach in rural areas. i was so young also. the men around me were not so good. as they know the difficulties of a young lady in a new place they were always not cunning. As you told the dressing style helped me a lot. though I awas a jovial person I behave like a nun in front strange people. some of my friends laughed at my behavior. Now the weather of germany determine my dressing style.
