Was a volunteer is the right career choice?

Volunteering is a fun and very knowledgeable experience. It's something you do based on your free will with no pay. It is a fantastic step in starting your career path and future. I'm still in school and I try to spare some time for volunteer work so gain experience. I reckon people recognize and appreciate volunteer work more because you are sacrificing your time to help someone else or an organization on your free will. I volunteered to do work experience with people with a disability. I learned so much and had a great time. I also volunteered to be part of an event management team in which you help out back stage. It was great because I could watch the musical without having to pay! =)
