I care what's happening around me and how it affects others. However, I want to retire from my opinion of those things i had been passionate about a minute ago. I don't like the way the USA handles somethings, but I am tired of pushing and pulling and pretty much the testing too. I hope some politicians, yada yada will grow up and quit

I care about the happenings in my country.. But just like you, I don't read the newspaper regularly. I often know the current events from my acquaintances and friends, then, I'll just do some further research about the topic on the internet. That is how I update myself. I have never gone to the point of buying newspapers to follow the progress of certain events. . I just want to relate something about the importance of reading and being updated of current events. I have this teacher who gives additional questions, or rather, bonus questions, during exams. It is not included in the total score so if you get it right, you'll have less wrong items in your paper. Her questions are about current events or the most controversial issues at the moment (and haven't answered any of her bonus question).

I don't miss a day without reading the papers. It is important to be aware of whats happening around us. So when others are discussing the current events we won't feel out of place.

I am very informed about the news and politics of my own country. I like to hear world news too but I am afraid I am not as informed on others politics as I am my own country.

Hello Tess. I wish I could keep up to date on what is happening in the world. It seems that the people that live in my area do not concern themselves with world events. To me, we are one world. I am a part of this world, not only this country. I wish there was a better way to find real information on current world events... not just the big name stories we always hear about.
