I work in a private company as an accountant and have lots of free time at the office. I didn't knew what do to with it and the best I was doing till now was clicking on ads, which is both equally boring as well as bad paying as my job :D
Last month I got a mail from my only of my friend from mylot, who told me that he is writing articles and getting paid for it. He has lots of work on hand and wanted to outsource it to someone and therefore contacted me. I wrote around 2 articles per day for him on an average and made $ 35.0 in total @ 1 cent per 10 words.
That I guess is not bad for I have written much more in blogs and adsense revenue sharing sites like AC and CC and never made a dollar from them :D
Looks like in coming days even I might require outsourcing!

That's great news, though I have to say that 1c per 10 words is an appalling rate of pay. That means you're producing a 500-word article for 50c... you could (and I would say SHOULD) be earning 10-20 times that for your efforts.
Still, if you're happy it's all good. Congratulations on the earnings!

It depends on the work, the client and so on.
For example, I charge a LOT less for charities (heck, I'll proof and edit for them for virtually nothing) or for work that I know enough about that I don't have to research. Editing costs depend on whether it's a quick grammar/spelling check or a full-on substantive edit. And then everything's negotiable anyway, especially if it's regular so I don't have to spend time looking for other clients.
As an example, I'm currently getting 1c/word for just proofreading for one client (i.e. read, correct spelling/grammar). Given that most experienced people can proof about 3,000 words an hour at that level of detail, you get the idea.
For most writing, I aim to hit between 20 and 30 dollars an hour, minimum. Whatever that works out at for individual work is what I'll ask. As a comparison, one of my very, very regular clients pays me less than that - it usually works out about $12.50 an hour - because the work's easy (and varied - proofing, writing, reading, researching, whatever), I don't have to research, he's 100% regular and reliable and he trusts me for my reported hours and so on.
He gets a much-reduced rate because I know I'll never have to look for more clients while he's on my books (and I'm learning a HUGE amount about a subject that's going to be very, very useful in the near future, as well as making some nice contacts through his business... side benefits... mwahahahahahaha!).

congratulation! It sounds very interesting my friend, care to share it with us. Before i am writing reviews and I was paid for many times, they are paying $50 minimum payout, but the review only cost around $.50-2.50 depends on the quality itself. How nice to hear that a worth $35 is easy to reach now, good luck and I hope I will be bale to find it out how it works. Thanks for your friend who shared it with you.. Keep it up and have a nice day!

Well done, that is a good amount to make. I have two different article jobs. One is a proper job where I get paid a penny (UK) per work, which equals around 3 cents per two words. I always earn a couple of hundred pounds each month from doing that work. My other job is freelance and I work online doing that, and only managed to make $27 this month from it. I already know that next month will be higher because I have already got more views than I need to earn that amount, but I just guess that I took too much time away from writing over the summer and forgot to add enough articles for my work.

$35 is good amount. But writing two articles everyday is also not that easy when it comes in regular. Its not just typing to write article you must have many ideas, topics and issues.
I am wondering if your friend has that much extra genuine work for which he paid you..,how much he himself making from that.!Would you mind telling us the site's name?
