Why not war online?

I think it is amazing that in our everyday lives our countries are at war with others. Then everyday we come online here at mylot and other ptc sites and chats as well as social networks then add people from our enemy country to our friends list. Here on mylot we communicate with each other and make friends and do not worry about what country we are from. We do not log on and say oh that's an iraqian we can not be friends with them they bombed us or the same for iraqians for Americans. Or so fort with different countries. I wonder why this is? Is this because we are not taking individuals responsible for what their government does or because we do not pay attention?

This is possible because Governments start wars not the little people. We do not have a choice when our Gov. decides to go to war. They do not ask us. They say something stupid like: They are doing what is best for us. War is never the Best choice...Never.

Yup I agree that's why I said that about the government in my post. I think it is great that we can all communicate and become friends with one another. We can show other people that it is not all people in that countries who have the same opinion as the one who is expressing the main discussions and goals for a whole community or society.

We have a very big problem in the US. Congress has voted down a few things and then President Hussein O has done Executive Orders to make them "Laws" This is not ethical and in reality they cannot be "Laws either, but no one is doing anything about it so they are being enforced. If you complain, you are either a racist or a ter-orist.

I think that right down to the very core, for most of us, we are all the same. We are just decent people who see the good in other people. We've become victims by our governments, and by a few who try to impose their ideals.
There is nothing wrong with being nationalistic, and to love our country, but we should also consider that on the other side, there are decent people too who've been caught in the mix.
Being online helps us reach those people.

Yes I agree. There are so many personalities and thats what we need to see. We do not need to look at people by their color or nationality or even their religion. When all in all we are human beings and our number one instinct when it comes to others is communication!

Here we are friends and I think that no one likes wars as it is devastating and causes disasters to us humans. People love peaceful life and human nature is peaceful and friendly.

Yes and I believe in our own everyday lives we can not go against our government so we chose not to. But that does not mean that we can not still communicate and have friends. Because no everyone is the same, no everyone wants the same things. We are people and there are a lot of people just like us on the other side of the world. and here at mylot helps us see that.

hiamanda I think here maybe we just think we are all humans and we come here make friends and do not think of the wars our governments perpetuate and that keeps us from all the racism and biases others have. we relax here, we can cry on our friends shoulders. we can pat others shoulders as we are not thinking of the horrid racist stuff. even ageism is not prevalent here. I am elderly and my friends accept just the same.I think maybe we do not pay attention as we want to be free from the stuff that causes wars.

I agree where we come from and our age seems to be the last things we think about when communicating with each other. I never think to ask these questions. Which I believe it does not matter on a site like this one. We are here to make friends and learn. And everyone's lives are different and with the different age groups and ethic backgrounds it opens our eyes to more information and experiences.

I think it's because we don't care much what the nationality of the members here are because we are more concerned about the discussion and not where the person is coming from.
I think that's why mylot is great because we can just share ideas whether we agree or oppose without being too violent and discriminatory.

Hello Amanda,
When i make friends i don't see the country from they are.I don't prefer them as per their country. This is the best think here on online stuffs that you cannot really know the person from where they are as there are several users who hide their country in which they live on their profiles.
But yes it hardly matters for me if my friend is from PAKISTAN or CHINA because as far as he/she is good he/she is my friend.
We cannot judge everyone with respect to few people. Suppose someone from IRAQ bombed US then its not that everyone from IRAQ is a terrorist.
