This morning via the net I watched a 7 minutes video from Russian scientists. It is about a planet Nibiru. The Nibiru is larger than the earth 5 times and it gets closer and closer to the earth. It seems that it will bring a big disaster to the earth next year. It reminds me of a movie called Armageddon. Have you heard about anything about this planet?

Hi youless,
What Russian scientists are talking about is not the Planet Nibiru (or Planet X) but it is an asteroid. It's confirmed to pass the earth in year 2036 and yes, there are chances of collision.
Last week I was watching news on TV and they were saying, China has already started a project so that they can deflect it's path (in case, if there is any danger to our planet) but America has plans of carefully landing it to their soil so that they can be more rich. It is expected that the minerals available on that Asteroid will strengthen the American economy to three times.
Here is more details regarding this asteroid:

Nibiru is the name of an imaginary planet which is supposed to sweep through the Solar System and causing untold damage to the planets including the Earth. Nancy Lieder was the first to predict this collision in 1995.She said that she was in touch with Extra Terrestrials who told her that it would strike in 2003 but then the date was later shifted to 2012.However scientists have dismissed this as humbug and say that no such planet exists, so don`t lose any sleep over it.This is plain fodder for Doomsday groups who have no other business than trying to scare the daylights out of ignorant people.

I have heard this but there is no scientific fact. 'The idea that a planet-sized object could collide with or pass by Earth in the near future is not supported by any scientific evidence and has been rejected as pseudoscience by astronomers and planetary scientists.'(from Wikipedia)

I think that you need to read ALL of this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nibiru_collision carefully before jumping to conclusions!
There are plenty of reasons why the claims made by the Nibiru/Planet X/Elenin enthusiasts are complete poppycock!

How are you friend?
Wo bu zhi dao abt the planet! ( courtesy: your homepage) but then i think that there are a lot more asteroids that circle around the planetary system.. and of what scientists pointed out is one such one, that which had come to their sight of observation.
So if i start to worry about the doomsday of the earth..i have to worry thinking about a lot of NIBRU'S.. Of late i just take things as it comes.. no extra weights i add to me.. in the form of worries..
Take care friend..
Regards

it's a hoax. Based on wiki, it was supposed to have passed by earth on 2003 as claimed and it's now 2011. reminds me of a certain religious cult that the earth will end a few months ago. What the cult members did was preached on the streets and sold out their belongings in preparation of that day which never came. Now I think there are unemployed people out there who have to start all over for believing something without basis except their blind faith.

I know only a few streaks about it.Some scientists refer to it as Planet X and consider that it brings about doomsday. It is a long debate in the scientific community, they each stick to their own stand. We take it for what it is worth.
