Epic - Internet browser

India

Has anyone tried on this Internet Browser? I think it has been around for quite a while now, but only recently did I encounter it somewhere, while I was surfing for something else. This one is made exclusively for Indians. Its ultra cool in my opinion. It states that its the first browser with sidebars, and I find those extremely helpful and easy of use. Also it has one click translation for all the Indian languages. But one important thing to note is, this is not a 'developed from scrap' thing. Its made whole and whole from Mozilla with a lot of modifications to the source code. I take this as a pro, because most of the Mozilla lovers will love this further, all the more. What's your take on this guys?? Anyone find Epic as FUN as me ;)

My exact opinion indeed. I loved the older versions of Firefox lot more than I love the newer ones. One of the main reason for me switching to Epic was, after 4.0 Firefox's user interface was starting to make me feel a little irritated, and also it started to hang a lot of times. But Epic has no such problem til now.

As you said this browser specifically used for Indian population, is that mean not for other races? Like Chinese, European, and American? So, if that epic browser is used for Indians, I am not an Indian, and I have no intention to find out whether it is good for me or not though.

I had it installed on my PC about one year ago. It was an interesting idea, but I am not an Indian, and I found the extra functions to be superfluous. In general I was not really happy using it.

I can honestly say, until recently... just this moment actually I've never heard of it. Then again I highly doubt that I'd find it being as I'm from the states. Though I honestly don't like using various browsers and such. Simply put because in compeating to be the best, the middle man is cut out and things as use with screen reading technology is overlooked.

You can find it as easily as you find any other browser. And it can be run in any country with as much flexibility as in India. Only the language bar may be found not useful by people of other countries. But the speed, look and user interface of Epic is too good.
