So, for about a week I have, on and off, felt as if I have a hair in the back of my throat. I keep trying to see each time if there is one, but there isn't. Please no dirty responses, because I know this is almost asking for one. But, I really am trying to figure this out. I have multiple sclerosis and am currently having to deal with an "episode" of it acting up on me, and that makes doing anything virtually impossible. I'm even half blind at the moment due to optic neuritis (where your optic nerve in you eye swells, causing horrible headaches and as I said blindness).
So please MyLotters, help me out.
Thank you!

drink hot honey.. from what i know that feeling generally comes from your throat being scratched, like if you ate something that scratched your throat when you were swallowing it.. so you need something hot and sticky to soothe it [even though this problem sounds like a dirty answer haha!]

I have a lung condition and I sometimes feel the same way as you, and it turns out that the only way of clearing my throat is by having a horrible coughing fit which is incredibly uncomfortable and leaves me with a very sore throat and a headache at the end of it. I find that sipping a bottle of water can help a lot as it means that the irritation at the back of your throat is soothed. If you do this every time you get the feeling, the water should be able to stop it from feeling that way for at least a couple of minutes before you have to have another drink.

Have you consulted a doctor?I think you should do so immediately if possible. This might be a serious problem if unattended to.You can try to swallow some plain boiled rice. That is what we do when we get fish bones stuck in our throats while eating. It usually helps the element that is disturbing and stuck in the throat to get swallowed and removed from the throat, passing into the stomach.Hope this helps your case.Do let us know.I am feeling really bad on reading your discussion.May God bless you and remove your pains.

First...ask GOD to calm your mind.
Second...take a rest. maybe you work so hard.
Third...drink lot of fresh juice, it will clear your throat and tongue.
Fourth...see a doctor.
Don't worry, God sees our problem...BIG or small

That sounds very annoying, and inconvenient, on top of your other health problems! I don't think I have ever felt that, but I think just reading about it is making me feel like I have a hair in my throat too. I think the only thing you could do is have some water, and hopefully it will go away soon.
