There have been many sayings and premonitions of the end of the world. From my religious belief, yes there will come a time of a second coming and that the world will crumble to pieces and all who are faithful will be saved. But some people do not believe in this, what I only believe is that my life is borrowed and I have to make sure to live my life to the fullest because we never know whats gonna happen next.
Your thoughts?
Do you believe?

All this religious nonsense was and is written by people with good imaginations and some knowledge of the world and human nature. The world has always suffered from what humans consider to be disasters and always will because that is the way the planet works and there are under our feet enormous forces at work which we do not yet fully understand. In 4.5 billion years the sun will run out of fuel so the amount of energy it is creating which is combating its gravitational force that is trying to make it collapse will no longer be avaiable to maintain the suns stabilty and it will collapse and implode. The explosive energy created will cause a minor supernova and it will the expand to about the orbit of Mars and then and only then will the world come to an end. Of course prior to that there may be some other disasters such as a stray astroid hitting the earth and destroying life as we know it but as yet we have not detected one. As to the end of the world I would not worry about it as it is likely that long before it happens the human race will have run it's course and become extinct just have over 95% of all the species that have ever lived on earth have already done. Stop kidding yourselves we are not that special and there is no superbeing up in the sky watching over us.

I think we all have our own beliefs and we should respect other's beliefs too. You may not have a religious thinking like some people do but then that is what they have grew up with and lived with for the most of their waking lives. I believe that all of us are special and there is always a reason for everything that is happening. Whatever or whenever or if there really is an end, I would say that no one can really predict it, religious or not, it is something that we would have to experience to know the truth.

I just believe the world will change as it has over the millions of years. Man is the biggest distructor of the planet, and if it does become uninhabitable, it will be man that eradicated himself from the planet, but the planet will continue to be a planet.. it will not be destroyed.. that is my belief.

I do believe in that. The end is near but no one knows when. I don't believe that the world will end in 2012 because it is written no one knows when is the exact date even the angels or the demons only God knows when it will occur. In the end good will win against evil. That's the inevitable truth that we will about to face soon enough.

Yes I believe you that there really is no exact year or date when it will come, I am also not sure if it is termed as such as 'the end'. but what I know is that the day will come when all will be spared and some punished. That is according to the Catholics.

I believe in God's Word the Bible. In there it talks about different worlds that were destroyed. For example, the world of Noah's day was destroyed as was Sodom and Gomorrah. The planet earth, however, was not destroyed. That's pretty obvious.
The end of the world that I know is coming is the end of a world of ungodly people.

God has a purpose for mankind and the earth. So far that purpose has not been met - not by a long shot. However, God's original purpose has not changed and very soon now, there will be things happening on a global scale that the majority of people are not expecting.
Stay tuned.

I believe in God too! With all my heart! and yes the idea that all the unfaithful and bad people will be punished and the faithful and the good ones will be saved. It is harsh to think that some should be punished but everything comes with a price. Karma. Do unto others what you want others to do unto you.

No, I really don't believe in this whole end of the world theory. It's just not something that I've ever really believed in. Besides, if I am wrong, and it is true, then I would much rather just live my life and enjoy it as much as possible.

I believe tha Jesus Christ will come again as he said when he ascended to heaven in a cloud, and we have to be ready to reveive him, and then will be the last judgement, and a lot of people will regret of their past actions in front of God but there won't be more time, so the time is now. Before the end, each day is another opportunity that God is giving us.

Hi my friend. Yes, some people don't believe in the end of the world the way the bible says specially scientists but i do believed on it. The inevitable tragic and calamity happenings on today's society was also written on the Bible as a sign that the judgement day is coming but some says it was just part of natural cycles and its part of general climate that seems to exist in our world. My religion is Church of Christ and i really believed on it.

Well yes they say that the signs of the times are the natural disasters that are continually happening on and on here in our world and it is something inevitable. It is written in the Bible that when Sodom and Gomorra perished, all the sinners were killed and the faithful are saved. As according to religious beliefs, only the faithful will be saved. We don't really have a proof about that or if that will happen again in the future, but if it will, I hope that all of us will be ready.

I think that it will maybe. I just dont know. Only because there are so many people and places. And has been going on for so long its just hard for me to fathom all this ending. However the ways that things have become and the dramatic shift it the weather. The growing number of people that just dont seem to care much about others anymore. I sometimes wonder about the transition into the new world tho. That seems like a definite probably to me.

Hi redphile, Scientists tell us that the earth will be here for a few billion years yet. The thing is the sun, like all stars well eventually burn out and the earth will no longer inhabitable. I don't believe in the second coming of Christ but I am not an atheist. We may destroy all life on the planet by our actions, but not the earth itself. Blessings.

Yes they say that it will be a few billion years from now. All life forms maybe destroyed in this world but we just dont know when and we should not be thinking about it. We all should live our lives how it should be and be satisfied for what we have and encountering right now.

As a Christian, I believe like you. And I do not believe in a pre Tribulation Rapture. Although I do not know when Christ will return, I do know we're in the End Times not just by way things are going in my everyday life, but what's happening in the Middle East. My biggest concern is what happens when the pre Tribulation Rapture doesn't happen? Will those who call themselves Christians still have that faith when the asteroid (Wormwood) plunges to earth?
Some Pre Tribulation Rapture folks say that God wouldn't let such bad things happen to us. They forget about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (sp.) They had faith til the end as they stood in that fiery furnace. They did not "fall away". And we all know the results of that.

I believe that all things will come to an end. What I will say is not based on religious beliefs or what. just hear me out.
Everything will come to an end. The Earth will come to an end, but what I know is this, it will be long till it will end. Maybe the sun will die or some big meteorite will hit the planet. Every living specie will be terminated. Man will invent ships that can travel fast enough to get to a planet that will see to it that the species of man will continue to cease. That's how I see this. There is no such thing as a second coming. The chosen ones will be the one who can be accommodated by this ship that will lead us to another planet.

Yes I know that all things has and will come to an end. May it be based on religious beliefs and teachings or not, I do think you have a point that everything will come to an end. The question is when. Well, all I am saying is that we should just go with the flow and repent and live our lives the right way so that when that time comes, we know that we have given our best, a good life.

I do believe that the world is created by God. Maybe the world is gonna to its end. The legend of the end of the world comes from religion. There are some predicitions in the Bible. A lot of people are talking about the end of the world, some of them believe that 2012 will be the end. Ther is a famous movie about it. I am not sure about it. Interestingly, I never have had a dream or pictures in my mind about I am getting married, I am having a kid, I am growing old. Does that mean those things won't happen when I am still alive?

Yes maybe it will end, maybe it will not or maybe not in our lifetime as most of you says. Yes there are a lot of predictions about the end of the world and you don't know which to believe. THe movie 2012, I have not even seen it yet. All I know is that we should be living our lives accordingly and in the right way. Live life to the fullest and if and when that time comes, you know that you have lived your life.

the world is round, for me it has no ending or should we say everything inside including people and all living organism might end or die ...and yes it is stated in the bible that Jesus would come at the second time around but no one knows exactly when would that happen...all i know is i am one of the species living inside the globe and i am aware to that saying 'life is too short'and we don't know when we die so all that i can do is hope and pray and to thank for every minute that I'm alive here in this world..

Yes according to religious beliefs that God will come again, and Jesus will be with mankind for the second time, and yes no one really knows when will that be. We should all live according to God's plan and pray that something good will come out of everything that we have done.

I believe that the end of the world will be only in your minds. I think we need to feel the real life in every moment, to really apreciate the life. We need to look at animals, like buterflies, we just need to feel the joyness, the happiness of life. Then I think the life will be forever. Maybe some big changes will come soon, but end of the world, never. I think we need to talk more about nowadays world. To do something to make all people in the world to be happy, to feel freedom, living in respect and degnity. End of the world will be only in people minds who really believe in it. I prefer to believe in happy life nowadays, in love, in respect, apreciation, so on.

I respect your decision, no one really knows if it is true or not, but I believe in what you say that what we need to do is just really appreciate life as it comes! If something big happens at least we will leave this world feeling happy because we were able to do everything that we want in life.

Though there are so many sayings about the end of the world, yet I don't believe in it. I think the world is still young and energetic to go on and on till a very long time later in the future.

Well the end of the world is inevitable. We just don't know when will it happen but surely this will come. I believe the Bible so as the Bible so states then I believe without any reservation that indeed this world will end. There are many verses in the Bible that speaks of the coming end like Matthew 24 which states all about this coming end and the signs as well. There will be an end to this world indeed!

Scientists are telling us the earth will cease to exist in the far far far future...none of us will be around to see it..unless reincarnation is a fact.
I don't think too much about it and certainly don't worry about it because I believe we live forever in some dimension ...if not this one.
We are eternal as God is eternal.
