I have just read online that some people put Tarot cards under their pillow to get a feeling and understanding of them. Is this something that any of you have experience with? I also read that many people who do this either have nightmares or very vivid, strange dreams. Just wondering if this is normal?
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated as I still haven't started using the cards as I'm a bit unsure how to start. I have done a discussion on this asking for help on how to get started but didn't really receive any, so if anyone wants to check that discussion out too.
Many thanks

i don't know much about tarot cards, either. but i do know that it is a common belief to put something (like a book) under your pillow so you would know or understand its contents.
it seems unreal. but it is a superstition that was once believes. some students put their notes under their pillows when going to sleep, hoping to retain what they learned from them. maybe there's a basis for this belief, as some others have.

I've never heard of putting anything under your pillow before, and I only read about the Tarot cards yesterday. I really need input from someone that reads Tarot cards but I don't know anyone that does. That's why I'm hoping there's some fellow mylotters that can help me.

well if you are really interested in that subject, i suggest you get the knowledge from those who DO have knowledge. maybe there are fortune tellers and/or "gypsies" (i'm not sure if this is a politically-correct term, forgive my ignorance) near your area. there are friendly ones out there. try to befriend one, then you'll soon learn the craft.
i am interested in witchcraft myself. but not in the way it is portrayed on tv.
also read books about wicca, santeria, and other forms of pagan traditions.

There are no fortune tellers or Gypsies were I live, unless they are very well hidden! It's not completely new to me as such as I am very interested in the supernatural, paranormal and have had many experiences within this and I also have some kind of psychic power, so just feel that Tarot cards are a kind of natural progression for me.
I too am interested in witchcraft but I'm not sure which road to go down, Wiccan or Pegan. It's something that I've always stayed away from as I recall as a child a women telling me I had a great power, one that I wouldn't yet understand as I was too young, and that I had to be careful and make sure that I used my power wisely and stayed on the side of all things good because I was powerful enough to do bad, dangerous things. Who this one was I can't remember except I'm very sure she was a relative.
Do you practise witchcraft at all?

Hi, kelly10. I don't know too much about reading tarot cards, but I know that I will never put a tarot card under my pillow. I don't want to challenge myself with having tarot cards under my pillow while I am sleeping. I think that this is a risky move on my end. I would afraid of going to sleep.
