It is almost the end of the day now, and I have been watching the coverage from New York City since I finished work at lunch time today. The news is so sad, and it makes me feel very low even though I know that I was not there on that day and I don't even live in America let alone in NYC itself. I have visited though, and, somehow, it makes me feel as though I have some kind of ownership and involvement in the events even though I was nowhere near the place when the attacks happened- only shortly afterwards.

Try to stay calm and follow the local emergency authorities for their advice and safety measures through media coverage. Be patient as you may be evacuated to a safe place where other evacuees will be. Anyway, it is always easier said than done. I'm sure if it were to happen to me, the whole situation would be in a total mess and I wouldn't be able to stay calm :D Let us pray for the victims for September 11, 2001! May they rest in peace.

Today is the tenth anniversary of 11 September 2001 we know as 9/11. In the last couple of weeks I have seen some TV programs remembering that awful day in history. Terrorist events really scare me and that was such a very shocking event. I so wish that once the plane had crashed into the North Tower all the people in the South Tower could have been evacuated. Then many lives would have been saved. One lady was in the toilet when the announcement said "stay at your desk". She ran out of the building and stayed alive. I know that airport security is a lot more tight these days. It is such a shame that some terrorists are still bombing innocent people. I think that we can avoid visiting places like Pakistan and make sure the airport security stays very comprehensive.

If the attack had happened in my country, then it would be likely that I feel sth. I won't be surprised if the terrorists are planning another attack and I won't even be surprised if they are planning to attack my country. I think it might be difficult to protect ourselves because there are many possible ways that the terrorists could launch an attack. We can never predict when and where the next attack will take place and so I suppose what we can do is to be vigilant at all times.
