Will you agree if companies stop the production of computer mouse?

I think computer mouse is still the best and fast way to use the computer(widely used) but due to the advent of touch pad, touch screen, etc. many people now are getting used to these new and more comfortable way to use a computer or an electronic gadget. Even my laptop has a touch pad I decided to buy a mouse because for me it is way easier to use than the touchpad. I would say that using the touchpad and touch screen looks cool but I can use my laptop faster using a mouse and in a more convenient way. So I think they should keep on producing mouse because many people will still prefer to use it.

The mouse is more efficient, faster easier more controlled. So no, I am completely against that idea. On the plus side, Touchscreens and touch-pads tend to stop working faster, and they are very hard to replace in comparison to a mouse which is just a plug and use appliance.

I don't use the mouse anymore but I would still want companies to produce the mouse. Some tasks are easier with the mouse, simply because it still uses mechanical ways to translate the movements.
I love using the touchpad because I work quicker since the touchpad is very near the keyboard. I move my hands very minimally. It's faster. Though there are times when my touchpad freezes or moves by itself when there's direct air hitting it. That's the problem with pressure sensitive devices. It would be cool to have a capacitive touchpad though that would increase the energy consumption of the computer.
Some applications, like games (especially MMORPG), are easier to play with the mouse, but then again, since I've become very at home with the touchpad, I can play MMORPGs with the touchpad (it was difficult at first)
Even though laptops and tablet computers are the in devices today, Desktops are still rampant. Workstations and servers still do need pointing devices and the mouse is the cheapest and easiest to use of all pointing devices, so I don't think they'll stop the production of mice

You're right there because desktop computers are still rampant and mouse work best on desktop and cheaper too. Most games are played easier and faster using the mouse specially DotA. I don't use my touchpad on my laptop it makes me slower since i'm not used to it.

Are there sales figures available indicating there has been a sudden downturn in the production of mice that you're aware of? Or Is any computer manufacturer no longer supplying a mouse with a New computer? Laptops with touchpads and tablets with touchscreens are a portable computing shortcut for the mouse..People using a laptop for business would tend to still use peripherals like Mice or a docking station to get access to a bigger screen when in an office environment...going mouseless would be a compromise to keep these machines portable, not a preference..
I don't think we'll be seeing the end of the mouse for a while yet,not as long as the computer is still recognisable as a base station box,a screen and a keyboard...maybe the predicted shift to cloud computing will make changes to the format of the PC..we'll see...

if they stop production of mouses, then the computer users will use the alternative:
1. Trackball
2. Touch Pad
3. Touch Screen
4. Voice Command
5. Joy Stick
6. Controller Pad
7. Telekinesis? (I don't think so, hahaha)
but all of that (except mouse) are all not appropriate for PC Games that requires quick firing of presses....

True touchpad or touchscreen are faster to use in selecting items or icons. Nope there is still many changes in mouse that makes it updated like optical and wireless but of course the mouse was introduced to us first so we consider it outdated sometimes. But I think it still works best.

I use a mouse with my laptop because it's faster and more intuitive. To highlight, copy, paste, etc., it's just a lot faster.
I think touch screens may work well for people who don't actually do a lot of work on the computer. It's fine for surfing the 'net or doing common things, but fill in a data sheet? Copy text from one program to another? No way. Right now, it's a pain, but maybe the technology will get better with time.

Even though touchpads are now popular, using mice to navigate around the computer screen will remain a valid way to use this computer technology. With the development with any new technology there will be some who jump on board immediately, some who come around eventually and some who will never adapt. I hope that suppliers continue to cater to the needs of each of us. It is always nice to have a choice.

well, i think there will be no problem even if we don't use computer mouse. Touchpads and touch screens are faster. And they're more convenient, too. Using them is a good choice.
