If we have time and money, then shopping can be a great experience. Some people are shopping addicts who would like to shop everyday for something or the other...
Do you like shopping alone or would rather have someone with you like a friend/s or close family members?
Personally speaking, I shop only when I want to, not on impulse and prefer to do it alone, but ,if at all I like to go with my sister when she can spare the time since she is a very busy doctor. But when my children are around I like going shopping with them since it is a lot of fun.We combine a movie,lunch/dinner as well, so it is enjoyable.

Hi Kiran!
Me and my wife most of the time will go for shopping together. We feel that when we two are together, we could make better choice and selection. We buy the product with each other's consent.

I can understand your point. My better half is somewhat like you and she takes considerable time in making selection.

Deffinitely is better shopping alone for me because if I with another person they want to influence me to buy what they like.
I only like to go shopping with Mr. money or Mrs. credit card.

Oh yes Kiran for me is better to shop alone, because sometimes my husband and me shop together food or things for the house and then he find something that is nice on his eyes but not on mine, and he wants to buy me that and I say to myself "but this is ugly!" so I tell him "oh no baby we don't have money for that" lol!
Or if I go with my son shopping he begins to ask me to hurry, that he wants to go home and push and push, one time I lost my money because he was driving me crazy.
Definitely I prefer to alone, Mr. money or MRS.credit card or debit card are allowe.

I just like to say "Look at this..." to my friend/s. I may not want to buy it at all, but if it is really clever, I might want to try and make something like it...
Take this birdhouse, now I didn't see it, my brother's girlfriend did, but she took the picture because she knew I'd LOVE it!

Hi Elic, I see your point, if you like to be sure that what you buy is right and need a second opinion then you need to have someone with you...I do that when I buy sarees, most of the time I go with my mother and sister or my daughters...all the best

I prefer that I have a companion when I shop particularly when I intend to buy something because I feel uncomfortable when I enter a shop and a sales lady starts to tag along or keep following me anywhere in the shop. At least, when I'm with someone I can ignore her and get the opinion of whoever I'm with.

Hi kiran8. I'm not that shopping addict. I just like the experience go to shopping by walking around having good time or enjoying looking around especially shopping complex. To be honest deep in my heart I love shopping with someone that I love or care, like family, friends or perhaps someone that I consider special. Unfortunately whenever I shopping with them it's always ended up in bad experience. So I decide I go shopping alone as it is more convenient rather than been someone or more than that. Is not that I cannot tolerate but it's them who don't like to tolerate. Whenever I wanna look for my thing they shows ugly face but when they wanna look for their thing even for hours I just can keep givin' them opinion which is not appreciate though. Some just can't soo lazy to walk. And lots more. I just hope someday I can find persons just like me.

Hi Prinzedbeck, thanks a lot for your response I agree that it is very difficult to get a shopping partner with whom you feel comfortable...that is the very reason why I too prefer shopping alone most of the time...I am sure you will find someone with whom you will enjoy shopping, all the best and happy mylotting

Hello kiran8.
But somehow when I go shopping alone people will say that I'm don't know how to social type of person. I don't like being labelled like that as I love to shopping with partner but since most of them are just not tolerate there's really nothing I can do.

Why should one really live life according to what people say , label you or expect you to do ?- at least I definitely don't ! I live life on my own terms and don't really bother about what other people do with their lives...I shop alone if I feel like it or go with others if that is ok with me and them, and also if all of us enjoy the experience...

Hi cher, the same here. There was a time when I used to go with my cousins and in a large crowd , but end up doing nothing constructive although it would be fun...Nowadays I go only when I need to go and then try to finish it quickly unless I get stuck in a book shop...all the best

I generally do not enjoy shopping. So I would rather go alone, pick up what I want and get out of there as soon as possible. But to make things easier I would prefer to do all my shopping online where possible. That way I do not have to go far away and also do not have to through crowds and stuff like that.

Hi kiran8, when I am shopping for myself I like shopping alone. I have more time to decide what I want, I have more time to spend on what I am looking for. Now on the other hand if someone is going shopping for themselves I don't mind tagging alone. I don't get in their way but I am very observant and I like to see what their taste is. Very interesting to me.

Hi Chevee,I guess you have a lot of patience to tag along, sometimes it can be frustrating ! let me tell you an experience I had with one of my aunts. She wanted to buy a silk cotton mattress for her cot.She wanted me to take her since I drive and could bring the mattress back by car.Off we went and , we went to 4 shops and the price was more or less the same ...finally went back to the one went earlier and picked up the mattress which I had to carry to the car which had been parked quarter km away...Finally after reaching her home we realised that she had brought the wrong measurements and the mattress was small .Again we went the next day....No doubt I was helping her out, but had she asked me to do it by myself, I would have probably done it in fraction of a time, going to one shop where there is parking and buying..

I have to be in a certain mood to go shopping, weird as it sounds. I mean, it's fine if we both know what we want - but I need to be in a "browsing" mood if neither of us know exactly what we want, and so I would hope that we would be on the same page. I enjoy shopping with my sister..She keeps me in check and reminds me of what I can afford & what I can't. LOL.

Hi kiran8
I really like to go shopping with my dad he really do have a good choice better than me but sometimes when he is out of town i have to go shopping with my friends but they all have really bad choice.
When we go to shopping we really think the money we are spending a bunch of money we all think that we should choose the best one that will suit me.
and really going movies and lunch with shopping is a great combination.

I prefer to go shopping alone because if I shop with someone I'm always thinking that he/she might be tired or might want to go home. However if it's just me shopping, I can go wherever I like. I must admit though that it is fun to shop with someone. Share this concern on www.lifo.com where you can share your tips and views on beauty, fashion as well as celebrity styles.

It depends really on what I am shopping for. If it is for me that I need to go shopping, then I prefer to go alone, and I really don't like accompanying my wife with shopping for food or clothing, but don't mind if it is something else for the house like electrical or garden stuff. _Derek

Hi derek, thanks a lot for sharing your views Going through the various responses I notice that most men prefer to shop only when it is absolutely essential and want to quickly finish with it unlike ladies who would like to go on and on lol...all the best derek

Hi kiran,
I hate shopping. It is disgraceful to me. Only I go to shop when it is not avoided. I'm afraid of crowed. Generally I go to market with my wife. She is so choosy that to select a single item she goes shop to shop. It is just wastage of time and energy. Do you think so?

Hi bhanu,LOL, you are not alone - most men who responded say that they dont like shopping ! However, I too hate those women who spend hours together to select one single item.I prefer to finish shopping quickly and done with...My friends are always surprised at this, they would have just begun to look at things and I would have already bought and paid for my shopping lol....not sure if that is good or bad in the economic sense !

i always prefer to shop alone, because from experience my husband and daughter would always tell me that i take too long in choosing what to buy specially clothes and shoes.
But i do enjoy shopping with them, if it's them i will be buying for.

When I go shopping, I usually go with a group of friends because you can socialize and shop at the same time. It's kinda lonely shopping alone and I get kinda intimidated when I'm alone browsing a rack of clothes and a whole group of friends come to the same rack and start talking amongst each other. But that's just me.
I prefer going shopping with buddies because we can ask our friends if the clothes look alright and we can exchange opinions. They also help me make decisions whether I should buy something but they usually just say if you like it then buy it! =)

Hi Triple, most youngsters prefer going in groups for any kind of social outing whether it is shopping, watching movies, eating out or just hanging out at the mall - it is understandable and one has t make the most of it.As one grows older everything changes with changed life styles, responsibilities and stress - all the best

Hi sheetal, thanks a lot for your response , Once in a while going out with your family and friends for shopping is nice.It can be a lot of fun trying out outfits and looking through dresses and sarees even if you don't buy anything, I see most ladies doing that much to the disappointment of the sales persons and the shop owner - all the best and happy mylotting
