special moment with my pet dogs...

I have three dogs which I feed and care three times a day. However, I look forward to my early morning interaction with them when I give them their bread. I'd cut some bread into several pieces, then I get a small chair in which I sit as I hand-feed them the bread. During this time I also get to talk to them and touch them. People who do not like dogs might find this weird but this special moment with my pet dogs gives me happiness and peace. Otherwise, serving them lunch and dinner would be done in a jiffy. It's my morning ritual with them which I get to relax and bond with them. Do you have such special moments with your pets too?

You should not care about what other people think about your relationship with your dogs.
As long as you are happy with talking to them and hand-feeding them, nothing else matters.
Both talking to them and hand-feeding help you establish a strong relationship. We have a saying here: once you fed a dog, he'll be your friend forever.
I love all the moments I spend with my dog. Even if there are only 9 hours a day when we are separate, I can't wait to go back home to be with my Binne.

You shouldn't bother to listen to malicious comments coming from people who don't love dogs or don't understand our love for dogs. Just do what you feel like doing.
I've learned not to speak about this subject with people who don't like dogs. I rather find another subject to discuss than to speak about dogs and be categorized as a freak.

Why do you call them pet dogs? As far as I know a pet is an animal that is kept for companionship. But I admit my knowledge of English may mislead me.
If you spend only a few minutes with your three dogs, do you think they can still be called pet dogs?
Do you keep them as guard dogs or what's the reason you feed and care them?

Well, they are company, guard dogs, friends, playmates, everything. Actually, they are like members of the family to me, but they don't sleep with us inside the house so that is the difference. Of course, I have to care for them, feed them because they are helpless creatures. If I don't give them food and take care of them, who will?

My dog is my life and means the world to me and he sleeps with me and most of the time when i get ready for work he is still sleeping in bed and doesnt want to get up at all. He also doesnt like me to leave the house at all and has such bad anxiety when i or anyone leaves the house.
Usually when i get home from work he gets his dinner since its about 5 already in the afternoon then we play for a little and i talk to him and probably go out back in the back yard running around if its not raining or wet outside. Hes a great dog and means the world to me. Without my dog im not sure where life would be right now.

We have dogs at home and my kids loves dogs a lot.
We have 3 adult dogs and 3 little pups but now only one remains since my kids friends asks for those pups so we give them away.
Our dogs are our companion and great guards as well.
We play and talk to them like real people and they are also caring to us.

I have an old dog at home. She is 13 years old this year and counting :) There is a saying that if a dog is 1 year old, it is equals to 7 years old of human life. So, my dog is equivalent to 91 years old of human life this year. Not sure the accuracy of the fact though. Due to her age, she has cataract and weak joints, not to mention that the flea sickness will not leave her alone. She has to be well taken care of everyday. Feeding her with tinned dog food and medicine. To visit the vet for injections and prescriptions on a weekly basis. To bathe her with warm water and blow her dry with the hair dryer. It is indeed not easy to keep a pet animal especially it has become part of your life. Although taking care of my dog is not as easy as it used to be when she is younger, nevertheless, the process of taking care of her are the special moments I have with my beloved pet dog.

Bathing dogs can be fun but it takes up alot of my time to do so. My dog is afraid of water although she has been taking it for the many years she has lived. Yet each time, she will try to run away when I take my eyes off her. She will run around the house, shaking her body real hard, splashing the shampoo and water around the house. After drying her up, its time to clean the floors.
