Do you edit your profile picture before uploading it in Facebook or other sites. Not resizing or cropping the image but actually editing it, let us say using Adobe Photoshop to remove pimples or to brighten complexion. Or probably adding blush and eye make up or completely removing all the dark spots. I once used Adobe Photoshop to remove my big pimple since I really like this specific picture.
I see some pictures of my friends in Facebook that seems to be a bit different. I'm not sure if they use Photoshop to brighten their complexion and to remove eye bugs or they just simply wear thick make ups during that time. But the outcome is really great. They really look good on their pictures. Now, I would like to ask if you also edit your profile picture before uploading them. Or do you leave it as is?

No, I don't use Photoshop to change my profile picture. In fact my profile picture is the same (or similar) in most of the sites: it is a picture of my dog. So why would I need to enhance them?
Dogs don't need facial lifting and they don't have pimples. They look good as simple as they are.

I always use dog as my profile picture. I'm a big fan of dogs. But in Facebook, I use my real photo.

No, I don't even know how to use Photoshop. Moreover, I find it troublesome.

When I first used Photoshop, I really don't know what to do. It is not like an ordinary paint and there are these layers that I don't really now. I tried to use tutorial videos that's why I learned something about it.

I have not used photo shop to modify my original picture(s). I won't like to use it. I would upload my actual photo on the FB. I think it makes no difference to me because I otherwise look handsome in my natural self.

Hi chiwasaki!
I used to do this but not using Adobe Photoshop because I don't know how to use it. I used to use Paint to edit my picture, to remove pimples and dark spots. Now, I don't edit my picture anymore. I got tired of the editing process and I don't care now if I've got a pimple or two in my picture.

I'm not really good, I'm just patient. I want to use Photoshop because of its many features. I just can't get patient with learning all the tools in it.

Hi secretbear! It means that you are really good in editing. I can't use Paint in removing blemishes, I'm not good at it. I just use Photoshop because there are tricks there. Have a nice day!

I have used the shop to change the color on some of my pictures. So I don't edit them much before uploading them to any site I use them on. I resize and use just a portion of the face or something like that. The outcome is rather interesting and I copy it and see several to change now and then.

For fun, I also change the colors of the picture. My favorite is in sepia tones. It is like the picture is about a century old.

I just crop and resize it, so I can show the specific area of that photo. And also sometimes I blur or sharpen my photo. As simple as that.
Well, if I happened to choose a photo of me as profile picture, then I think it would be my best photo, so I don't really need to edit it more :p

When I still have my Photoshop installed in my laptop. I also do that. I put some blur on the sides. However I don't have it now so I can't edit any photos.

I have not used photoshop for my profile photos. Not the ones that are of me. I do however photo shop pictures of other things that I am just playing around with. Just by adding small objects or arts. I also add words or clip art just to make it fun. But for the most part I just post them as is.

Hi friend! I also do that. Mostly those edited pictures with effects are just created for fun. I don't upload those pictures as profile picture.

I have never used photoshop but I do use picnik. I love that site. I have edited a lot of photos just to change the exposure and sometimes make the colors a little more vivid or to turn a regular photo into sepia or black and white. I think once I used the tool to whiten my teeth but then that I havent used it to fix a blemish or anything like that.

I haven't tried any online editing tools. I'll probably check on that picnic as well. As of this moment, I no longer have my Photoshop anymore.

I have some friends who use pictures of cars as their profile picture. Sometimes I use the picture of my dog as my profile picture. I love dogs so it is probably a reflection of myself.

I leave it as it is. If I have a pimple or something like that I just take the picture where they can't see it or I don't take it at all. I don't get pimples all that often anymore though, and when i do as soon as they head up they are gone.

Pimples are really irritating. Sometimes there will be just one pimple that will appear on my face. And I don't know why they don't appear as a batallion but just one big pimple.

Most of the time, I just leave my picture as is. But if I'm in the mood, I usually use Photoshop to adjust the picture. But 80 percent of my profile pictures are unedited.

I have never use Photoshop in any of my pictures because I don't feel bad about how I look like and because it is important for me that not body get a wrong impression about how I look like, what I usually do is make bigger my pictures in order I look more near to the camera.

my sister does the editing with some of my photos. i do not really know how to use it so she does the editing.that is to remove my eye bags when its really very obvious and some pimple marks too. the results are great! you will really look good with the adobe photo shop. but not all photos i upload are edited. most of it i just leave it as ease. pictures now look good even without edits when used with a professional camera.

I agree with you there. I have some pictures unedited but looks great because of the camera I used. But those are really expensive cameras.

I usually leave it at is. I just seldom edit pictures in Photoshop, just for pictures that I really love and impossible to be captured in camera the same way again. Most of the time I'm just adjusting the brightness and contrast of the said pictures. I rather choose a nice raw picture as my profile since I don't have much time for editing.

The more natural the looks, the better. The more unedited a picture is, the more real it looks. I know some friends who would have the same answers as yours.

I love adding effects on pictures as well. But those edited pictures are most likely not uploaded as profile picture. As much as possible, I would like to have a simple profile picture.

I also do that sometimes in some photo. I adjust the brightness and the contrast. Just for the sake of improving the photo.
