I believe that going for a day out or away somewhere for a weekend are ways to enjoy life. If so it is wonderful to take a camera to capture the fun times. At the end of July I took my kids for a day out to Plymouth. It is a seaside town with an old citadel and a smart looking harbor. In August I took my kids for a walk along some canal and river paths in Wiltshire. I have happy memories of a week in Yorkshire that I took my kids to this year. We stayed at a friendly guest house in Scarborough and did days out from it.
If you could choose a day out for free where would it be to?
If you could get a special deal for a weekend away where would you like to go?
Could you pick a destination with enough to do for one whole week?

Hi
I would love to go at beach as there aren't any beach near to my place. so we used to go their rarely. Because of that we often used to go Mt Abu (a hill station near to my place). And yes we really enjoy that place. I used to go their with big group, either whole family or with friends. So I really enjoy those weekends.

I am hoping but, not sure if it will come off yet, to go to Alton Towers for the Firework show. Last year myself and hubby went and we had such a great day! The rides were open until dark which made things way more exciting and then the firework show they put on was spectacular. I am hoping we can go again and see if my friends can afford it too as I know we would have an amazing day out.

It is lovely to go for outings, especially when the weather is good. It's great for your children too, as new experiences for them are good for their minds, in more ways than one.
My daughter and I are having a special weekend away in 2 weeks time. It is the october long weekend, and we are going camping. Actaully it's for 3 days. We are camping at m Moonta, right on the foreshore of the beach. I have organised the tents, sleeping bags, cooking gear, small table and chairs. I discovered yesterday that one of the air beds is gong flat, so I need to do something about that. We are not bringing the laptop, as we want it to be a real weekend away camping. Not sure what the weather will be like, but we are bringing the camera.

Hi maximax. I totally agree with you It is nice to getaway even if it is just for a day.I could spend all day walking through the woods and hills just outside my city.there are peacocks roaming about and wild berries growing there and it is so very peaceful. For a weekend, I can think of a hundred different places to go with my children ..I would like to spend a whole week , longer if I could in Goa just walking on the beach, eating all that yummy sea food and generally relaxing ...

i'd rather stay at home and manage household chores then cook something special for the family. if finances permit i prefer to be in the beach with my loved ones..

Texas is so large that a day or weekend trip almost requires someone stay instate.
I've done weekend trips to Ft Worth, Dallas and Houston and day trips to San Antonio, tho overnight trips there are better because there's a lot to see.
A week, well, I drove up to Kansas for a week and we took day trips out from the small town that the roomie's mom grew up in.
I want to do it again next year, but go to Tennessee instead.

For a day out or the weekend, I would prefer to take the kids and go to a state park or somewhere that we can ride our horses. For a week, I would like to go several places in the United States and spend some time. I believe that those kind of trips can bring us much closer together as a family.

I have to agree with you 100% I love going out with the family. I love taking my 2 boys to the park and that doesn't cost anything. Now a special weekend trip we would have to go to Tampa or Orlando and visit a theme park. Something I have been wanting to do forever is to rent a cabin up in the mountains maybe Gatlinburg, TN area for a whole week and just take the boys fishing and relax. That would be my ideal weeklong vacation.

I live on an island and there is a ferry from my island to another island called Lolland. My husband and I have talked about visiting that island. We would like to spend two days there. We want to visit two different towns (Maribo and Nakskov) We have never been there, but Maribo is supposed to be a very beautiful town with 4 lakes and a park. There is also a famous cathedral that we would like to visit. While we are there we would like to visit two small islands called Femoe and Fejoe. I think that it will be possible to visit both islands on the same day, because they aren't far away from Lolland and there are many ferries.
If I had the chance to go away for one week I would go to Copenhagen. There are lots of things to see and do and there are several museums that I would like to visit for instanse the art museum. I would also like to visit Tivoli again, I haven't been there for years.

There are many things to do for free here in South Florida and that is going to the beach all i would have to do is pay for my gas to get there and of course bring some drinks and some food to eat and thats usually it. And those days are nice and relaxing as well. If i go anywhere for the weekend i usually try to find somewhere in rolando for a good price its good to go there and get away of course and we can go walk around downtown disney with not buying anything and maybe just go somewhere that isnt so expensive for dinner too.
If i did something for a week i would try to get away and out of Florida probably and i would like to go to California and go to that disney there and experience that and go shopping in some downtown area and to jsut see major cities would be a great experience for me too.

I try to take a weekend away at least every 3 months. It refreshes my attitude on life and gives me a needed break. Sometimes we go to the moutains, the beach, or just meander through small towns. Any break is welcome.

A day out for free I would choose Taiwan (although it's not that close), the special deal would be the Orient Express and if I had to pick out a destination with enough to do for one whole week I can go every where or stay at home.
If it would be for only me it's Africa (since I love to do nothing for a whole week) and if it's with my kids we go to Hungary to the river so they can slide in the mud whole day on and I clean up the rest of day and night.
